Dear.
Clients and new customers

Important update for customers moving between the UK and Spain. Transport and customs requirements continue to evolve.

At LUTON.TS,
we stay up to date with current transport regulations and compliance requirements to help your move run smoothly.

If you're moving your normal residence from the UK to Spain and want to apply for tax-free import of personal household belongings, Spanish customs may require documents such as:
copy of your passport. NIE TIE or Spanish residence registration, if available.

Proof of Spanish delivery address. Evidence you lived outside Spain for at least 12 consecutive months.

Proof you are leaving your UK residence. Proof you are establishing your normal residence in Spain. Detailed packing inventory with estimated values and weights.

Confirmation that the goods are used personal belongings owned and used for at least six months before the move.

Tax-free import applies only when genuinely transferring your normal residence to Spain.
If customs cannot verify exemption, they may request further evidence or require duties or taxes to be paid.
