At just a forty five minutes drive from the airport of Alicante in the exclusive Altea Hills you will find the remarkable complex Semíramis II ,a small but generous scale project with 12 luxury apartments. The complex is situated in a prime location on the south slope of the Serra Bernia mountains , far above the crowds ,

with breathtaking views over the Mediterranean sea, the old town of Altea and in the distance the skyline of Benidorm . Built in Moorish style of pink rock under complete architecture the building is a striking appearance in the hills above Altea . The fully enclosed complex offers a spacious courtyard with flowering bougainvillea and oleander, two communal swimming pools and comfortable terraces . The building is thus designed that each apartment offers full privacy . The apartments are spacious and bright , comfortably equipped and , of course, air conditioned and heated . Each apartment has its own private Jacuzzi on the comfortable terrace surrounded by spectacular views over nearby villages, the mountains and the sea. At the foot of the hill in the cozy village of Altea la Vella , you will find the luxury golf club Don Cayo . This delightful little golf club , designed by the architects Pedro Barber and Gregorio Sands and opened in 1974 , offers by its unique location in the foothills of the Sierra de Bernia mountains a challenging 9 - hole course with extraordinary views. A few miles down the road is the beautiful seaside resort of Altea with its historic old town clustered around the whitewashed dome . The coast south of Calpe , where Altea is located, has a microclimate which causes the winters to be considerably warmer than the north of Calpe . This makes the Altea area a very attractive destination for snowbirds from across Northern Europe and beyond . We are Jur van der Meer and Ruchamah van der Horn, managers of the exclusive Semiramis II. For a number of Dutch owners , we provide the rental of their luxury apartments. In the Netherlands , France and Spain and outside Europe, we have gained extensive experience in the tourism industry . Excited and (given the rising temperatures) quite relieved, we can let you know that the Semiramis pools are open again!

Of course, with all required disinfection measures and safety adjustments. So for hygiene reasons, there will be no sun loungers by the pool this year. No worries though, these will be available in the apartment to take with you when needed. On the flip side, this also saves putting down a towel early in the morning to reserve your spot (you know who I mean ;-))

The safety and comfort of our guests has always been our top priority. Now, more then ever, in these times of corona virus, the utmost care and extra measures are being taken to ensure guests can continue to enjoy their stays in Altea without any worries.

Beautiful message of hope for tourism in Spain from Francesc Colomer, Autonomous Secretary of Tourism.

¨Addressing the tourism sector has never been so difficult. A sector that is defined in the happiness of others and that bases its reason for being on the happiness of others. A sector that needs, like air to breathe, travel, the freedom to travel.

The coronavirus pandemic is a huge lesson in life and death. But above all, of life. We all need each other. Humanity is deeply interdependent. Humanity is one humanity.

We will get out of this with unity. Only with the ancient culture of unity. Unity in prudence, unity in waiting and hope.

We will overcome fear, the worst known social solvent. So now it's time to resist with clenched teeth and the combat morale we always had.

This sector has endured all kinds of difficulties and, although it was never recognized as such, it has always saved the face of our economy and social cohesion. Yes, with all our imperfections and contradictions, it has been so. Even in these tragic days we have seen how the desperate priority for tourists has been to return home safely. Then, and only then, the sector felt it had fulfilled a moral duty. THANKS!.

We may never be the same again. What's more, we shouldn't be the same. We should try to be better. Perhaps life has put us to the test and it is time to respond with brighter eyes.

Yes, we will lift our spirits, of course, and we will be part of the solution. As always, this sector was an expert in caring for people. We will get there.

And all the necessary resources must be mobilized so that our companies, ideas, projects and illusions resist what is necessary in this dark hour. In this "meanwhile" which is half loaded with anguish and hope.

We know that gloomy and depressed destinies neither win nor convince. So when we return, we will compete with the greatest of enthusiasms. And we will do it together, more united and wiser.

Yes, no doubt, people will need to travel. They say that life goes round and round and thus traveling gives a lot of life. People will seek happiness again, perhaps to savor it in another way, with so much more intensity, sipping existence in another way.

It will be then when our authenticity, our attributes and values, our Mediterranean hospitality will take on all its meaning. We will celebrate life again. Humanity will be vaccinated against this virus and our destinies will be vaccinated against sadness.

The seclusion will end and life and the senses will flow again. And we will dispense this drug called hope here in the Valencian Community. Our Live Mediterranean will be a tribute to life, to the art of living. We will build emotions again. We will thrill again.

We will overcome the duel together and, when we return, we promise to be better.¨
