Today we lost a legend. While you know us for cruise ships and cruise news, you also know us for our endless positivity. Dolly has always been a role model and inspiration for us. She brought a light to this world that will live on through her music, her memories, and her love.

It’s the small things that mean the most… On our last visit to Tortola, we discovered this little turtle. He hasn’t left our side since. He’s gone swimming in the Bahamas, took his first-ever airplane flight, has gone hiking in 110 degree Phoenix heat, and has even laid out by the pool in the backyard.

Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes on a cruise ship?

One of the absolute highlights of my sailing on Norwegian Prima was our Behind the Scenes Tour. Standing on the bridge next to the ship’s bell was one of those “pinch me” moments - especially being on the namesake of my current favorite class of ship!

Seeing the areas that guests rarely get to experience gives you a whole new appreciation for the people and technology that keeps these cities on a ship running smoothly.

If your next cruise offers a Behind the Scenes Tour, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s worth every penny and is one of the most unique experiences you can have at sea. Trust me, this is one excursion you’ll be talking about long after your cruise ends.
