🌟 Madame Tussaud’s Shanghai 🌟

Wow wow wow, this is one of the best Madame Tussaud’s we have ever done.

The layout is brilliant, they really take it to the next level with the designs. It had recording booths, which you can go into, interactive games, beauty industry, a small section for Europe/uk, they Hollywood section has light up stage you walk along and more.

Was so much fun and different to the other ones we have visited.

🎟️ Disneyland Shanghai. 🎟️

Voyage of the Crystal Grotto.

So going onto this we thought it would be like the little mermaid in the states. It is not haha. It’s a little boat ride taking you through different scenes in different movies with music and you go under the castle. Something the states should do. It’s brilliant.

We did it during the day first off and then we said we must do it at Night. The lights add to it and the views of the castle just lift it again. It’s definitely a do both times of the day ride.

With That the 2025 season has ended and it’s been amazing. Made so many memories and we cant wait to have more this year. Buzzing for 2026.

Wow, this was fantastic.

1. The use of the whole of Main Street.

2. Definitely stand further back to get the full experience.

3. Get the popcorn and have whilst you go.

Have you been to The Yu Gardens in Shanghai before?

We visited last month and it was truely beautiful. Really big and when you thought you had finished you weren’t there were more areas to see.

Clean, well kept we seen plenty of workers looking after the area when we were there.

We really liked the Fairytale Gardens at Hong Kong Disneyland, it was a lovely walk around with lots of interaction buttons. Definitely worth a visit.

🌟 Hotels Shanghai 🌟

All our Hotels in Shanghai we booked independently.

Toy Story Hotel Disneyland: We did this through the official Shanghai Disneyland website. The pricing was all in CNY however we just used a conversion app on wise website to get a rough idea to the price. The website is really easy to use and find a room.

For our Shanghai City hotel we will be booking through Booking.com, we have a couple in the running and will be confirming the choosen one this weekend. We are going to stay close to the main areas. It’s been really easy find the hotels we are looking for and in the area. With the free cancellation we have been able to hold 2 till we choose our favourite.

🛫 We are going on an adventure 🛫

How did we book?

After we did a lot of research into booking the holiday we decided to go to the travel agents and book through them.

We booked, our flights from London to Hong Kong, Hong Kong hotel and park tickets, flights from Hong Kong to Shanghai and flights back to London with them.

Then we booked our Shanghai Disney hotel/Park Tickets and Shanghai city hotel seperately.

This was super easy to do. We liked how we could pay up the balance over a couple of months, as this allowed us to organise everything else around it.

What do you prefer? Paying up or paying all at once?

Earlier this year on our visit to Manchester we visited Federal Cafe for breakfast.

This is one of our new favourite places to go when there. It’s such a fab wee place just a a short walk to the Arndale shopping centre.

People were cueing outside the venue and the cafe provided unbrellas when it began to rain, and little Hot Chocolates with Oat Milk. ( they were kind enough to give us one as we left) they took care of customers inside and out.

Not a massive menu which is good cause otherwise can never decide haha.

K : pouched egg on toast side of bacon 5/5
LJ : Eggs Benedict with Salmon 5/5

Service: 5/5 could not fault the cafes service at all. The staff were friendly, polite and really made the atmosphere. The food arrived quickly however tasted fresh.

The art work was lovely and had little qr codes attached to the artist and information regarding the art work.

We will definitely be back here 5/5 overall.
