❤️ 1 month in Barcelona ❤️

After 7 years in Antwerp, it felt strange to be so settled and comfortable. A new opportunity changed the stability and shifted us into an unknown.

Barcelona had never been on the radar. A fleeting visiting 7 years ago didn't leave much of an impression.

Yet this month has changed my perspective. Its been a joy to slowly discover the city and its many neighbourhoods. After a month la Sagrada Familia has still not been visited or seen up close. Slow living in Barcelona is 🔑

Throwback to our trip to Puglia. We spent a wet and thundery night in Polignano a Mare, an hours drive south of Bari.

Known for its famous beach that Im sure on a hot summers day is gorgeous and packed to the gills. On a wet autumnly day it was moody and dramatic.

A cute day trip with narrow alleyways to wander around in, add it to your Puglia bucketlist.

After 7 years together, it felt about time to make it official.

Bart & I eloped on a quiet Friday morning in between packing for our move and preparing for my birthday trip to Puglia. We celebrated with my family in Italy, and captured special moments of late afternoon sunshine with a gorgeous photoshoot in beautiful Ostuni.

Getting married, entering a new decade and moving to a new country all in the space of a week certainly wasn't on my bingo card for this year (except for the inevitable 40th😅). But here's to the next chapter and all that comes with it! 💗💗

Alberobello has long been on my bucket list. A town made up of trullo, with their whitewashed buildings and conical roofs.

It's a bit like Disneyland, and I'd imagine in the height of the summer sort of unbearable. However, it's cute and worth a few hours exploring.

A wet and windy visit to Mayo. Despite the hideous weather, it involved a lot of card playing, eating, saying hi to horses and walking Freddie on spectacular beaches.

Mayo you might just be my favourite county in Ireland?

Saltee Islands

Its been a bucket list item of mine before I turn 40 to see puffins in the wild. Nesting from April through to mid- July, puffins have been visting the Saltees in smaller numbers as predators have reduced their numbers.

Kilmore Quay is a super cute little town. Great fish and chips and lots of thatch houses.
