🚛 Madrid Porters and Drivers – Fully Compliant & Ready Across Europe!
Great news! We have just received our personal tachograph driver card.
This means we are now fully legal and available to drive your 3.5 tonne vans on international journeys throughout the whole of Europe.
Why this matters
From 1 July 2026, under the EU Mobility Package (Regulation (EU) 2020/1054 amending Regulation (EC) No 561/2006), light commercial vehicles of 2.5–3.5 tonnes used for:
International carriage of goods for hire or reward, or
Cabotage operations must be fitted with a second-generation smart tachograph (G2V2) and the driver must use a valid personal driver card.
We are now now fully equipped to operate under these rules, ensuring full compliance with:
EU drivers’ hours and rest time regulations (Reg. 561/2006)
Mandatory recording of driving, breaks, rest and other work
Daily driving limits (normally max 9 hours, extendable to 10 hours twice a week)
Weekly limits (max 56 hours / 90 hours over two consecutive weeks)
Required breaks (45 minutes after 4.5 hours of driving)
Daily and weekly rest periods
