To everyone who followed our Camino journey — thank you ❤️❤️

Today, we are incredibly proud and overwhelmed to say that together we have raised an amazing $53,500 for Childhood Cancer Association in honour of Charlie Hoile 🎗️🎗️

To every single person who donated, shared our posts, sent messages of encouragement, checked in on us, or supported us from near and far — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness, generosity and support carried us through the physical, mental and emotional challenges of this journey.

We feel so grateful to have had so many people walking beside us in spirit every step of the way. This journey is one we will never forget, and knowing it has made a difference for such an important cause makes it even more special.

We’re forever proud to be the 3 Chicks in Spain ❤️🎗️

Last night the 3 Chicks in Spain arrived back in Australia! 🇦🇺Greeted by family & the CEO of Childhood Cancer Assoc Cath O'Loughlin 💛 on arrival.

We didn’t walk the “Camino” or help raise tens of thousands of dollars for accolades or praise.

The “Camino” was walked & vital funds were donated for a blonde haired, blue eyed, freckled boy who had a cheeky grin & matching personality, which I have no doubt would have taken him places.
He loved his family, loved his friends, loved footy, loved sport, loved kindy, loved school, loved camping, loved a fire, loved marshmallows toasted on a stick, loved Wes Goldsmith orange’s from his tree, loved SEFC, loved jetty jumping, loved diving for scallops, loved fishing, loved his boat, loved a Farmers Union iced coffee, loved a sneaky can of coke & chocolate biscuit at Nana & Pops Sandy Hoile, loved Scooby 🐶, loved bike riding, loved Carlton, loved Test Cricket, loved a steak, his Greatest Love his brother Lach.
324km walked for the boy from Stansbury, who through his own courageous fight has helped bring hope to other children & families consumed by the evil of cancer.
Gracious to everyone (Thank you)
Buen Camino 🙏🏼 Forever Grateful to everyone. 💛🎗️

DAY 16 SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA to BARCELONA
Unfortunately the 3 chicks are still without rest…an early start to catch a flight to Barcelona. Megs was devastated she didn’t get a coffee on the flight, Abbie had restless legs and Ange had a well deserved nap! Due to Abbie’s ongoing feet issues we were forced (not really, but it’s fun blaming Abs) to sit on a tour bus most of the day to check out the sights! BARCELONA IS AMAZING! Highly recommend xx

A few days ago we were very lucky to find 3 of the most precious medals representing everything we love about the Camino. The tourist gift shop even had matching lanyards!!! The anticipation of completing this massive accomplishment was overwhelming so we thought we deserved something extra special at the end that only the elite, the best of the best receive. During this journey we have been fortunate to befriend a fellow pilgrim, Bobby, a top bloke from the UK who was honoured and humbled to be asked to present our medals and be our Master of Ceremonies. This experience has enabled us to develop into fine athletes and this ceremony has only given us a sneak peak of what to expect when we get the cross country call up in the next Olympics. We are honoured and proud to share this momentous occasion with you all!!

DAY 14!!!!!!!!!! Our final day….PEDROUZO to SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Today we struggled to get out of warm beds but as soon as we had breakfast and found our mojo the excitement kicked in and we were on our way! We paced ourselves, broke out the tunes and didn’t even stop for lunch, we were on a mission!! 5kms out we met up with our mate Bobby, a fellow pilgrim who popped up regularly along the way. We walked into Santiago de compostela together and eventually made it to the Cathedral…it was magic…we did it!!!!
A very special shoutout to all the walkers who walked with us today in solidarity… groups from Edithburgh/Coobowie, Point Souttar, Adelaide and Clare. We felt the love and are forever grateful for your support and friendship 🎗️🫶💛
