🇪🇸The region of Murcia is one of Spain’s largest producers of loquats (nísperos), thanks to its warm Mediterranean climate and fertile “Garden of Europe” farmland. These sweet, juicy fruits are at their absolute best from May until the beginning of June, when local markets fill with freshly picked harvests.

✨Fun fact: loquats are one of the first fruits of the season in Spain, and their shelf life is so short that many locals traditionally preserve and can them to enjoy all year round in various dishes and desserts 🧡.
