For quite some time now, I have noticed that some taxi drivers are trying to mislead my clients by imitating the name of my company. They use photos similar to the ones on my social media profiles and—what saddens me the most—is that these are supposed to be “colleagues.” They create names almost identical to mine, simply by changing the word order or adding a single letter.
What’s even more disappointing is that whenever my clients recommend me in online posts, these so-called “colleagues” take the opportunity to promote their own services, intentionally creating confusion.
I want to be clear: I have no problem with healthy competition. In fact, I believe it is a great way to keep improving. But I do believe it is unnecessary and unfair to copy—or make an almost identical replica of—my website, branding, or social media presence.
To clarify: *I’m Pollensa, www.transferspollensa.com managed by Andrés Moreno* proudly serving clients for more than 7 years. I am aware that many of my clients have mistakenly contacted others, believing they were reaching me, and even asked about me. Sadly, those drivers did not explain the confusion or redirect them to my official profile. Instead, they proceeded as if nothing were wrong, leaving the client under the impression they were dealing with me.
Even worse, some have directly copied elements of the design and descriptions from my website to use on their own pages.
