This is a perfect location for flat and short rides, but is also the starting point for the exciting mountain routes. Puerto Pollenca is well known as a popular holiday destination and is the gateway to the famous Cap de Formentor Lighthouse and beach. We want you to have the best possible cycling experience at Bike Island Mallorca. We offer a full range of bikes within the GIANT brand and women s

pecific LIV brands to give our clients the opportunity to fulfill their needs. You can choose from rim brakes, disc brakes, carbon wheels, and the recently introduced, Giant TCR and DEFY with electronic shifting Shimano Di2. Besides road bikes, we also offer a comprehensive selection of MTB, e-bikes, kids bikes and hybrids for an easy ride around the bay. Your reservation can be made through the online form at our website where you can see availability for each bike, as well as on the spot in the shop. Helmets, shoes, cycling pedals, Garmin mounts, Garmin navigation devices and many other accessories can be provided. A bike lock, pump and toolbag, complete with an inner tube and a multitool, is included in your rental. In addition to bike rental, we also offer bike servicing and repairs. Bike Island Mallorca is open all year round and we look forward to welcoming you here.

How was cycling in Mallorca in February 2026? 😍🚲
We had a bit of everything this month: strong winds on sunny days, some rain, and wet roads in the morning after thunderstorms during the night. But we also had plenty of warm, spring sunshine! Temperatures even reached over 20°C in the last two weeks. ☀️
Because the weather changes so much, packing several layers of clothes is a must. ☝️
February is the final month to enjoy the quiet roads and the beautiful almond blossoms before the busy cycling season starts in March. 🌼 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

January might be Mallorca’s coldest month, but it’s actually the perfect escape from the harsh European winter ☃️

🌤 Temperatures typically range between 10–18°C (50–64°F) — ideal for comfortable riding.
At lunchtime, we even recorded a maximum of 23°C in January 2025 ☀️

You’ll enjoy plenty of mild days, although nights can drop close to freezing. January can be windy, especially in the mountains, with occasional rain. 🙌
Some mountain roads may temporarily close due to snow or ice, but hopefully the rain and snow are behind us now and stay back in December. ❄️

🧥 What to pack?
A waterproof jacket and layered clothing are essential for early mornings and cooler evenings. 🌦
By midday, some brave riders are even cycling in short sleeves. ☀️
No need to bring bike lights — we’ve got you covered in our bike shop.🚲🔦

⭐️ January also hosts the Mallorca Cycling Challenge, a four-day event attracting cyclists from around the world. It’s a popular training period for professional cycling teams, so keep your eyes open — you might spot your favourite riders out on the road! 🤩

We’re feeling especially grateful as we look back at some of the amazing bikes that came through our workshop this year. Even though we’re primarily a bike rental shop, so many of you continue bringing your own bikes for service and repairs — and that truly means a lot to us. 💙
