After navigating buses in 3 countries, trains in 4 countries, Metros in 3 major cities, 2 ride share apps in 3 countries, taxis in 7 cities, airports in 5 countries (with 1 more to go in Iceland), attending mass in 4 countries, communicating in 5 languages, meeting people from 41 countries and 22 US States, and walking nearly 900kms since September 18th, I am finally waiting to board my flight back across the pond to the US. Thank you for all your love and support for my adventure! 💕✈️ 👣

This is something specific just to the Cathedral in Santiago. It is the botofumeiro, a giant incense burner that is swung during some of the masses. It is very special to be able to see it done and I actually saw it twice this week! (Today I had a front row seat- gracias Jorge!) Some pilgrims never see it. Historically, the medieval pilgrims smelled so awful they used this to fumigate the church. 🤣 it is amazing to see. It takes 8 men to operate it.

I made it! Last day of walking The Camino. It took me just under 6 hours to walk 20km to the Cathedral (or my 4th half marathon this week! )
Exhausted but thrilled and amazed and so bittersweet to be finished. Over 700kms and 41 days on The Way! Thank you everyone for all your love, support and prayers that helped me get here! ❤️
