⚓️ Astondoa 39 Flybridge – Full Detail Polish & Protection

This Astondoa 39 has just returned from the shipyard following routine maintenance and was ready for a complete refresh.

Here at ShipShape we carried out the following:
• Full exterior deep clean
• Stainless steel polished to a high shine
• Machine polish using the Rupes Marine range
• Gelcoat protection applied for long-lasting gloss and protection

The result: A deep, high gloss finish across the superstructure, with all stainless brought back to a sharp, clean shine.

⚓️ Teak Repair & Restoration

Teak deck restoration carried out in Mar de Cristal, bringing this deck back to life and extending its service life.

All seams were carefully cleaned out, recut, and sanded straight to ensure a uniform finish. The deck was then professionally re-seamed using Sikaflex 290DC Pro, applied with the correct preparation and products to guarantee durability, flexibility, and a high-quality finish.

The result is a sharp, clean look with long lasting protection against the elements exactly what a teak deck needs to stay both functional and visually spot-on.

Bringing this Princess 60 back to life ✨⚓️

This full hull polish was all about restoring depth, clarity, and long lasting protection. Using the new Rupes Marine Polish range, we carried out a complete cut and polish process to remove oxidation, defects, and dullness from the gelcoat.

The cutting stage eliminated years of wear, followed by a refining polish using Rupes pads specifically designed for hologram removal leaving behind a flawless, swirl free finish.

The result? A deep, mirror like gloss that not only looks incredible in the marina but also provides durable protection throughout the season.

🛥️ Another successful project completed by ShipShape.

We recently transported a Leopard 45 Catamaran from Marina Salinas Torrevieja to San Pedro del Pinatar Shipyard for a full hull prep and protection package.

Following the yard’s initial pressure wash, Shipshape carried out a complete sanding of both hulls to create the ideal surface for antifouling application ensuring maximum adhesion and long-lasting performance.

The propellers were taken back to bare metal before an expert application of Propspeed, protecting them against marine growth and increasing efficiency.

To finish, the hull was machine polished to a mirror gloss, bringing the boat back to life before delivering her back to Torrevieja looking her absolute best.

Another vessel protected, restored, and ready for the season with a noticable performance increase on the journey back ⚓️

A true transformation on this Princess 60 ✨

This 12-year-old gelcoat has undergone a full restoration, bringing it back to a level that now stands amongst the very best in the marina.

Using the Rupes Marine Range, we carried out a complete cut and polish process to remove oxidation, restore depth, and achieve a deep, mirror-like gloss across the entire vessel. Every surface was then meticulously wiped down to remove any remaining oils, ensuring a perfectly clean foundation.

To finish, a premium ceramic coating was applied across the full gelcoat. This not only enhances the gloss even further, but provides long-lasting protection against the elements, keeping the finish sharper for longer 🛥️
