Translation is Dialogue - Túlkun er samtal er verkefni þróað af myndlistarkonunni Arlene Tucker (TW/USA) sem býr og starfa í Joutsa, Finnlandi en dvelur í september sem gestalistamaður Skaftfells. Verkefnið Túlkun er samtal fjallar um samtal ungmenna á milli ólíkra staða þar sem þátttakendur munu notast við listrænar aðferðir til að nálgast listræna sköpun hvors annars. Nemendur fá að velja úr verkum erlendra ungmenna til að túlka með sínum eigin hætti og útfærslu. T.d. er hægt að velja ljósmynd og túlka ljósmyndina í ljóði. Margir ólíkir miðlar eru mögulegir við útfærsluna en í grunninn er nálgunin sú að ungmenni frá ólíkum heimshlutum nálgist hvort annað í gegnum sköpun.

Þátttakendur verkefnisins eru nemendur í Menntaskólanum á Egilsstöðum undir handleiðslu kennaranna Ólafar Bjarkar (Lóu) Bragadóttur og Heiðdísar Höllu Bjarnadóttur. Verkefnið hefst 14. september.

Open Call: Empowering Tools

RIBOCA (Rīga International Biennial of Contemporary Art), HIAP (Helsinki International Artist Programme), and NAC (Nida Art Colony of Vilnius Academy of Arts) announce an open call for residencies in Helsinki, Finland and Nida, Lithuania between January–March 2022.

The residencies are aimed at artists, architects, designers, musicians, educators, and practitioners from other disciplines interested in engaging in the fields of art education and mediation. The purpose of the residencies is to develop learning kits for the Riboca Repository of Knowledge online platform that can be freely used by teachers, pupils, young adults, students and parents.

Practitioners based within the European Union and/or EU citizens are eligible to apply. Participants will receive a monthly individual support of €2200 and will be reimbursed for travel costs (based on ERASMUS+ programme guidelines).

Application deadline: Thursday 30th September.

RIBOCA (Rygos šiuolaikinio meno bienalė), HIAP (Tarptautinė Helsinkio menininkų programa) ir NMK (Vilniaus dailės akademijos Nidos meno kolonija) kviečia teikti paraiškas dalyvauti rezidencijų programose Helsinkyje ir Nidoje 2022 m. sausio-kovo mėn.

Rezidencijų programa skirta menininkams, architektams, dizaineriams, muzikantams, pedagogams, ir praktikams iš kitų disciplinų, kurie domisi meniniu ugdymu ir tarpininkavimu. Programos tikslas yra sukurti mokymosi rinkinių seriją Riboca „Įgalinantys įrankiai" internetinei platformai, kuria laisvai galėtų naudotis mokytojai, mokiniai, suaugę ir tėvai.

Paraiškas gali teikti Europos Sąjungoje gyvenantys specialistai ir (arba) ES piliečiai. Dalyviai kas mėnesį gaus 2200 EUR individualią paramą, taip pat bus kompensuojamos kelionės išlaidos (remiantis ERASMUS programos taisyklėmis).

Paraiškų teikimo terminas: rugsėjo 30d.

"Diversity Agents address a range of challenging and crucial issues such as structural racism, lack of equality and accessibility. As change makers and organizers, Diversity Agents offer ways to reflect, to develop tools, and to implement ways we can work towards a more equitable society. In this second edition of the Diversity Agent course special attention is given to recognizing structural racism and introducing anti-racist practices. The course encompasses lectures, meetings, and a diversity training clinic in collaboration with a local arts and culture organization."
