What if following one little ranch in Lapland meant following the future of an entire horse breed?
The Finnhorse is endangered.
And while we can’t save a breed alone, we can do our small part.
At Ranch Kuulas, tourism gives our Finnhorses a job, and that income allows us to invest back into the breed, including breeding the next generation.
Almost every year, 1–3 Finnhorse foals are born here.
And if everything goes as planned, next summer there will be TWO new tiny Finnhorses joining our herd.

From waiting for the foals to arrive…
to their first wobbly steps,
