Run baby, run…
In exactly 2 weeks, I’ll (very likely… NO let’s just claim it ;)) be looking back with a fulfilled, pleasantly, tired heart on our very first 2026 wedding of a series of 7 this Spring! The COUNTDOWN is on, and the excitement is real.

For now I’ll take you into our world of NOUS wedding magic: Every single time, it feels like such an honor to fully step into this role: to create, to design, to express everything in the name of love.

But honestly: I also tend to forget just how intense the process is. The moment a proposal gets approved, the engine starts running: planning every very small detail, making 10000% sure nothing is overlooked to create an remarkable memory for the couple and their guests.

It’s ALL about living up to the TRUST that’s been given to us, and making sure every moving part, person and supplier connects seamlessly. From coordinating vendors to guiding the team ~ everything is prepared, checked, and 5849302X rechecked 🤪✌🏻 until the weekend finally arrives.

Some days in the year have a way of pulling you back in time… reminding you of everything that has flowed down the river to bring you exactly where you are today.

Yesterday was one of those days.

18.03.22: The day we officially registered our business ‘NOUS’. The moment we stopped dreaming and started building, step by step, our life in France. Our journey of travel, immigration, and creating something of our own, together as a family.

Lovers. Parents. Business partners. So many roles, so many challenges… and yet, here we are.
Still standing. Still building. Still loving. 🤍

Spring is just around the corner… and after all the rain we’ve had, nature is about to burst into life and we are longing for cozy evenings in our NOUS garden.

Slowly wildflowers start to appear everywhere, and every sunny morning feels like a little blessing.

After this first French ‘very wet’ winter, we’re SO ready for warm and slow mornings outside and joyful to watch the rising sun, hear the birds singing in the valley and making daily walks through our surrounding and blooming nature.

Spring reminds us why we chose this life in the countryside.

Dear dreamers and rebels, even though I truly believe that when you want something, you go for it right away… there’s something about early January that feels like a quiet reset.
A fresh start.
A mental clean slate.
We all feel the new motivation and strength to realign with what really matters and to move closer to our dreams.

Also Kay and I planned beautiful intentions for 2026. Moments we want to create, ideals we want to live by, and dreams we hope will come to life. Curious? Here are a few of them 🤍

~ As entrepreneurs, parents and partners, we want to walk together every Friday before the weekend, reflecting on the week and simply enjoying time with each other and our beautiful Agel. We learned in our live: Rest doesn’t just happen: plan it.

~ More fun moments and adventures with our children Daan and Pippa (at the beach ;))

~ Further developing our day + evening NOUS holiday-activities and food-arrangements for our upcoming holiday guests.

~ Creating new décor, concepts, arrangements and styling for our NOUS weddings.

~ Hopefully new steps towards the purchase of a bigger NOUS holiday + wedding domain.

~ Spending more quality time with close family and friends, both here and in the Netherlands.

~ Developing the French language

~ Invest again in our botanical plant collection 🌵

~ Professionalising and connecting with and for our NOUS team.

~ And for all our NOUS guests and couples, again to let them 100% enjoy NOUS, to surprise and with love, attention and enthusiasm ‘completely take care of’ as much as we can.
