Arrived in Albi today, the city is designated one of the most beautiful cities in southwest France. Dominating the skyline is the magnificent Cathedral, the largest brick-built cathedral in the world. Built between 1282 and 1480, this UNESCO listed World Heritage treasure was constructed after the Cathar Crusade as a powerful symbol of the Catholic Church's authority.

Last day of our French Wine Tour Bordeaux with a visit to the spring wine festival in the grounds of the Blaye Citadel.

No visit to Blaye is complete without a visit to the Petit Cafe and Cave, serving great beer and a variety of wine both local and from around the world.

The Citadel of Blaye is a historic fortress located in the town of Blaye, in the Gironde department of southwestern France. It was designed by the famous military engineer Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban in the late 17th century under the reign of Louis XIV. The purpose of the citadel was to protect Bordeaux from naval attacks via the Gironde estuary.
