We are always getting asked how to use snow chains. This vid put together by Gareth of Alpine Property is well worth a watch, as pretty much covers everything you need to know. Our best tip would be, don’t be scared of using chains, watch this and then practice a good few times putting on and taking off before you head to the mountains, especially taking note of removal procedure!

Promising!

SUMMER LIFTS UPDATE: It's just been confirmed that the summer 20 opening of lifts in Les Portes du Soleil will be delayed until 4th July and this includes the lift networks of Morzine, Les Gets & Avoriaz (with the possibility of an even earlier opening on 27th June in some resorts).

Currently, the season will still run until 20th September as planned. Special social distancing and sanitation measures will be in place across the lift network.

Suite aux restrictions gouvernementales de ce jour, Châtel se voit dans l’obligation de fermer son domaine skiable.
Les points d’informations de la station resteront ouverts ( Mairie/Office de tourisme/Caisses) pour l’accueil de la clientèle.

Regarding to the governmental restrictions Châtel resort has to close the ski area.
However the information points of the resort will still be open.
