Adapted bike rental in Paris, Île de Ré and Lyon !

On October 3rd we were on the Hôtel de Ville square for « Vélos pour tous ! » to meet visitors.

The route:

1️⃣​​​​ Port Lympia to Basse Corniche (the electric assist does the climbing)
2️⃣ Viewpoint stop over the Villefranche bay
3️⃣ On to Beaulieu-sur-Mer
4️⃣ Loop around Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat
5️⃣ ​Monaco, if you’ve got the legs

Go in the morning, the corniche fills up by midday. Coffee on the citadel quay before Saint-Jean.

Île de Ré has its own cycling code. Almost nobody riding it has actually read it. We have ➡️

Some of these paths are still open to residents’ cars. Shared route, not a private lane, ride like it 🚜🚴‍♂️🏇🚶‍♂️

At marked crossings, cyclists dismount. Not a suggestion, it’s in the official guide 🚶‍♂️

Sidewalk riding is only for kids under 8. Everyone else takes the path 🚸

Lights and reflectors, day or night. The guide says so, not just common sense 💡

Tractors, buses, delivery trucks: their blind spots are bigger than you think. It’s the one line in the guide worth memorizing 👍
