Why does everyone take a photo with the Wall Street Bull in New York? 🐂

If you visit New York, you’ll probably see a line of people waiting to take a photo with the famous Wall Street Bull

But why is it so famous?
The bull is called Charging Bull, and it’s not just a random statue

It represents strength, prosperity, and financial optimism. In the stock market, a “bull market” means the market is going up, with growth and confidence

The most interesting part is that this sculpture appeared in New York as a surprise after a major stock market crash, as a symbol of hope and recovery.

Over time, it became one of the most visited photo spots in the city

And yes… there’s also a little “legend” around it.
Many people take photos touching the bull because it’s believed to bring good luck, money, and prosperity.

So, is it worth visiting?
Yes, especially if you’re already exploring the Financial District. You can combine it with Wall Street, Battery Park, the 9/11 Memorial, and views of the Statue of Liberty.

But if you want a calmer photo, try to go early, because it usually gets very crowded.
Extra tip: if you want more beautiful photos from your New York trip, don’t rely only on quick pictures in crowded spots.

A photoshoot in places like DUMBO, Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, Times Square, or the streets of Manhattan can be one of the best ways to take home memories you’ll truly love

I’m Valeria from Captourist, and we offer photoshoots in New York for couples, families, solo travelers, and quinceañeras.

Hi travelers! If you’re in Paris or planning a trip soon, here’s a great little tip for you 😊

Hop on RATP Bus 69 for one of the easiest and most affordable “tour-style” routes through Paris. For around €2.50, you can ride through some of the city’s most iconic areas without paying for a traditional sightseeing bus.

Why take Bus 69?
Budget-friendly and easy
It’s a simple way to see a lot of Paris without spending too much.

Beautiful views from the city
You get to enjoy Paris from the bus without walking nonstop or waiting in long lines.

A more local experience
It’s public transportation, so you get to move through the city more like Parisians do.

Stops and areas worth noticing:
• Père Lachaise Cemetery 🪦
Start near this famous cemetery, where legendary figures like Oscar Wilde and Jim Morrison are buried.
• Place de la Bastille ⚔️
A historic square connected to the French Revolution, now surrounded by cafés and city life.
• Le Marais 🏙️
One of Paris’s most charming neighborhoods, known for its boutiques, galleries, beautiful streets, and history.
• Hôtel de Ville 🏛️
The stunning Paris City Hall, with architecture that’s definitely worth seeing.
• The Louvre 🖼️
Pass near one of the most famous museums in the world, home to the Mona Lisa

Tips to make the most of the ride:
1. Check the route before getting on
That way, you’ll know which stops you want to look out for.
2. Go during the day
The views are much better in the morning or afternoon.
3. Sit on the left side if you can
You’ll get some of the best views along the route.
4. Bring a small snack
A pastry, coffee, or juice makes the ride even better. 🥐🧃
5. Keep your belongings close
Just like on any public transport, stay aware of your bag and phone.

Extra travel tip: instead of spending too much on souvenirs, live an experience and take home beautiful photos from your trip.

At Captourist, we can help you capture your time in Paris with a photoshoot you’ll remember forever. 📸

Mom, she may dream of wearing her quinceañera dress in Paris… but you know everything that dream represents. 🤍

A quinceañera only happens once. And after so many years of watching her grow, imagining her walking in her dress with the Eiffel Tower behind her can feel just as exciting for you as it does for her.

So, if you’re thinking about choosing a trip instead of a traditional celebration, Paris can become much more than the destination for her quinceañera. It can become an experience you share together and remember for years to come.

❄️ And there’s something especially beautiful about winter photoshoots in Paris. The city feels completely different, the light is softer, the streets have a unique atmosphere, and with the right timing, we can create stunning photographs with her quinceañera dress as the star.

👗 Just imagine that moment: seeing her completely ready for the first time, heading to the photoshoot together, and then watching her walk through Paris in the dress she chose for her fifteenth birthday.

📸 But we also want Mom to be part of those memories. Along with her quinceañera portraits, it’s always worth taking photos together, with Dad, siblings, or the people who made this trip possible. Because this experience celebrates her quinceañera, but it also celebrates your family’s story.

At Captourist, we can help you plan the experience before you even arrive in Paris. From the photoshoot, locations, and timing to dress, hair, and makeup options, we’ll help coordinate the details so you can focus on enjoying the day together.

We don’t want you to simply go home with beautiful photos. We want her to look at that dress years from now and remember that she lived one of her dreams in Paris… and for you to look at those same photos and remember your daughter at such a special moment in her life. 🤍

If this is one of your daughter’s dreams, comment XV PARIS and we’ll be happy to send you our packages and options to start planning her experience.

I’m Regina, from the Captourist team, and I’d be delighted to help you create a quinceañera experience that becomes a beautiful memory for the entire family. 🇫🇷✨

Amsterdam has more secrets than you could ever fit into one photo… here are 3 you might not know. 🇳🇱

🏠 1. Why are so many houses so narrow?
Historically, property taxes were influenced, among other factors, by the width of a building’s façade. That’s one reason why you’ll find so many tall, narrow houses throughout the city — a look that has become one of Amsterdam’s most recognizable features.

🚲 2. Bikes really do rule the city
They’re not just part of the scenery; cycling is one of the main ways people get around. If it’s your first time visiting, pay close attention to the bike lanes and avoid walking in them.

🌉 3. Amsterdam has more than 1,200 bridges
Which means you don’t need to search for one famous “photo spot” to find beautiful views. Simply walking along the canals and crossing different bridges can become one of the best parts of your trip.

📸 In fact, that’s one of the reasons we love doing photoshoots in Amsterdam. Instead of spending an hour posing in one location, we can turn your session into a walk through canals, bridges, and charming streets while your photographer guides you naturally along the way.

At Captourist, we offer photoshoots for couples, families, and solo travelers, designed to fit naturally into your itinerary without taking half a day away from exploring the city.

If Amsterdam is in your upcoming travel plans, comment AMSTERDAM or message Captourist directly, and we’ll send you our packages and available dates.

I’m Regina, from the Captourist team, and I’d be delighted to help you come home with photos that truly feel like Amsterdam. 🇳🇱📸

Versailles or Disneyland Paris? If you only have a few days, read this before choosing 🇫🇷

This is one of the most common questions people ask when planning their first trip to Paris:
“If we only have a few days… should we go to Versailles or Disneyland Paris?”

And the honest answer is: it depends on the kind of trip you want to have.

Choose Versailles if…
• You love palaces, gardens, history, and architecture.
• You want a more cultural and elegant experience.
• You’re traveling with adults or teens who enjoy walking and exploring.
• You’re excited to visit one of the most iconic places near Paris.
• You want something that feels very classic and French.

Versailles is beautiful, but keep in mind it’s not a quick stop. Between transportation, entrance, walking through the palace, exploring the gardens, and getting back to Paris, it can easily take a big part of your day.

Choose Disneyland Paris if…
• You’re traveling with kids.
• You’re Disney fans.
• You want a fun, family-centered day.
• Someone in your group has always dreamed of visiting the park.
• You prefer rides, characters, shows, and that magical Disney atmosphere.
Disneyland Paris can be a beautiful experience, especially when it’s a dream for someone in the family.

But if you only have a few days, it’s worth asking yourself this first:
Do we want to spend a full day outside Paris, or do we want more time to actually enjoy the city?
Because that’s really the decision.

It’s not about whether Versailles is better than Disney.
It’s about what kind of memory you want to prioritize on this trip.

Versailles feels more cultural, elegant, and classic.
Disney feels more fun, emotional, and family-oriented.

Paris itself feels more walkable, photogenic, and full of little moments.
There’s no wrong choice.

Just choose based on what you’re most excited to experience, not on what you feel you’re “supposed” to do.

Extra tip: if you decide to stay in Paris, you can use that day for something special without leaving the city: walking along the Seine, having a picnic, exploring Montmartre, or booking a photoshoot.

A photoshoot can become one of the most beautiful experiences of the trip, and the photos will be some of the most special memories you take home from Paris.

I’m Valeria from Captourist, and we offer photoshoots in Paris for families, couples, solo travelers, and quinceañeras.

🇬🇧 First time in London? There’s a great way to spend the first few hours of your trip that can make everything afterward much easier.

London is huge, and saving places like Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, or Notting Hill to your itinerary is easy. The questions usually start once you’re actually there: Which places make sense to visit together? Which transportation should you take? How do you pay? Is it better to walk or take the Tube? And where can you eat without always ending up in the most touristy spots?

That’s why spending part of your first day exploring the city with a local can be a great idea.

🚇 Learn how to get around. Your host can show you how to use the Tube, understand the different lines, and navigate the journeys you’ll need throughout the rest of your trip.

📍 Follow a route that actually makes sense. Instead of going from one side of London to the other, you can connect nearby places and adapt the route to what you genuinely want to see.

☕ Ask everything. From where to have breakfast or lunch to which attractions are worth booking, which neighborhoods to explore next, or how to get back to your hotel. Having a local with you means you have someone to ask all those little questions that naturally come up while exploring.

🚶 And most importantly, learn how to explore London on your own. The goal isn’t for you to depend on a guide throughout your entire trip. It’s actually the opposite: after a few hours together, you’ll feel much more confident continuing to discover the city independently.

At Captourist, we offer local experiences with Spanish-speaking hosts that adapt to your group’s pace and interests. It’s not a rigid tour or a checklist of places you have to visit; it’s about having a local by your side to help you start your London adventure on the right foot.

If you’re visiting London soon, comment LIVE LONDON or message Captourist directly, and we’ll send you all the information about our local experiences.

I’m Regina, from the Captourist team, and I’d be delighted to help make London feel a little less overwhelming and much easier to explore. 🇬🇧✨

🗽 Winter is getting closer in New York… and with it comes one of those seasons when the city starts to feel completely different.

If you’re visiting during the change of season, save these 3 tips:

🧥 1. Layers will be your best friend
Don’t rely on just one heavy coat. A thermal base layer, sweater, and warm coat will make it much easier to adjust between the cold streets and the heating inside restaurants, shops, and museums.

🧣 2. Don’t forget the small accessories
A scarf, gloves, and a beanie can make a huge difference, especially in the morning, after sunset, or on windy days. And if you want your travel photos to look great, choose neutral tones that are easy to mix and match with different outfits.

👟 3. Choose comfortable, closed-toe shoes
You’ll probably walk a lot in New York. Look for shoes that will keep your feet warm, stay comfortable for hours, and, if possible, handle a little rain.

📸 And one of the best things about this season is that you don’t have to wait for snow to get beautiful photos. Central Park, DUMBO, Brooklyn Bridge, and the streets of Manhattan all take on a completely different atmosphere as winter approaches.

If you’d like to turn one of those walks into a special memory, Captourist offers photoshoots for couples, families, and solo travelers, designed to fit naturally into your itinerary.

If you’re visiting New York soon, comment NEW YORK or message Captourist directly, and we’ll send you our packages and available dates.

I’m Regina, from the Captourist team, and I’d be delighted to help you capture an amazing memory of New York this season. 🗽📸

5 souvenirs that are actually worth bringing home from Rome 🇮🇹

When we travel to Rome, we all want to bring something back that reminds us of the trip.

And while magnets, keychains, and mugs can be cute, the truth is that many souvenirs end up forgotten… and some of them weren’t even made in Rome.

If you’re visiting soon, these are the kind of memories that are truly worth bringing home:

1. Something from a local shop
It could be ceramics, handmade paper, an illustration, a small artisan piece, or something from a little shop that actually has a story behind it

2. Coffee, pasta, or an Italian product
A good bag of coffee, pasta, olive oil, cookies, or a special ingredient can be a delicious and useful way to bring a little piece of Italy back home

3. A postcard or a beautiful illustration
It doesn’t have to be expensive to feel special. Sometimes a well-chosen postcard or an illustration of Rome can become a much more meaningful memory than a generic souvenir

4. A perfume, accessory, or something you’ll actually use
Something you can wear or use in your everyday life, and every time you see it, it takes you back to that trip

5. Photos to complete your family travel album
A family trip to Rome isn’t something that happens every day.
Between flights, hotels, plans, meals, long walks, and everything it takes to organize a trip like this, it’s worth coming home with memories that truly match the experience

Because yes, a keychain or a magnet can be nice… but the photos from that family trip are the memories that will last a lifetime

A photoshoot can be that special moment to complete your travel album: everyone together, beautifully captured, living Rome, and keeping a memory you’ll probably treasure for years

I’m Valeria from Captourist, and we can help you bring home one of the best souvenirs from Rome: beautiful photos of your trip

🇪🇸 First time in Madrid? It’s not just about seeing the city… you have to taste it too.

Madrid is perfect for walking, eating, and leaving a little room in your itinerary for spontaneous plans. If you’re preparing your trip, save these ideas to experience the city a little more like a local:

🥪 Try a bocadillo de calamares. This calamari sandwich is one of Madrid’s classics, and you’ll find plenty of places serving it around Plaza Mayor. It’s simple, quick, and very traditional.

🍫 Save some time for churros with chocolate. Whether it’s for breakfast, an afternoon treat, or a break after hours of walking, it’s a Madrid experience worth trying. Chocolatería San Ginés is one of the most famous spots, although you’ll find plenty of other options around the city center.

🍽️ Don’t stick only to restaurants in the busiest tourist squares. Walk a few streets toward neighborhoods like La Latina, Malasaña, or Chamberí, where you’ll find traditional taverns, markets, and plenty of local atmosphere.

🌳 Make at least one plan that doesn’t require a ticket or a schedule. Walking through El Retiro, exploring Barrio de las Letras, or simply sitting at a terrace is also part of experiencing Madrid. Not everything has to be an attraction.

🌇 And save an afternoon for a relaxed walk. Madrid changes as the day goes on, and areas like Gran Vía, Plaza de España, or the Temple of Debod can be a great way to end your day.

And if it’s your first time in Madrid and you’d like to understand the city better from the beginning, Captourist offers local experiences with Spanish-speaking hosts.

Your host can help you explore Madrid, learn how to use public transportation, organize your route so you don’t waste time, and share recommendations for places to eat, grab a drink, or continue exploring on your own afterward.

It’s not a rigid tour. The idea is to have a local by your side for a few hours so you can ask all those questions you would normally end up searching for on Google during your trip.

If you’re visiting Madrid soon, comment VIVE MADRID or message Captourist directly, and we’ll send you all the information about our local experiences.

I’m Regina, from the Captourist team, and I’d be delighted to help you discover Madrid beyond the places on your checklist. 🇪🇸

Some quinceañeras are celebrated for one night… and others become a trip the whole family will remember.

Imagine waking up in Rome on her quinceañera, getting ready without rushing, putting on the dress she spent months choosing, and stepping into a city where almost every street can become part of the experience.

And if you’re thinking about celebrating her quinceañera with a trip, there’s something important to remember: you don’t have to choose between exploring Rome and having an amazing photoshoot. You can do both.

📸 We can create a route where the photoshoot feels like part of the trip: walking through beautiful Italian streets, stopping by the Colosseum, discovering charming little squares, and enjoying different settings without spending hours simply posing.

👗 The dress can be the star, but she doesn’t have to be alone in every photo. We always recommend saving some time for pictures with mom, dad, siblings, or everyone who made this trip possible. Years from now, those family photos may become just as meaningful as her quinceañera portraits.

🌅 And one important tip: timing makes a big difference in Rome. Starting early can mean quieter streets, more comfortable temperatures, and a much more relaxed experience.

At Captourist, we can help you plan her quinceañera photoshoot in Rome before the trip, from locations and timing to the little details that make the day feel less like a production and more like one of the best experiences of your vacation.

She may not remember every gift she received for her quinceañera… but she’ll probably never forget the day she walked through Rome in her quinceañera dress. 🇮🇹

If you’re planning this trip, comment XV ROME or message Captourist directly, and we’ll send you our packages and available dates.

I’m Regina, from the Captourist team, and I’d be delighted to help you turn her quinceañera into an experience your family can remember together. 📸✨
