Location Burgundy is dedicated to managing a portfolio of holiday rental properties on behalf of their international owners.

All the property owners take much pride in maintaining and presenting their homes, enabling visitors to experience and enjoy the delightful appeals and attractions of Burgundy. Location Burgundy is owned and operated by a husband and wife team, David and Su Bishop, originally from the UK, but full time Burgundy residents for the past 15 years. We have been managing rental homes on behalf of our cl

ients since 2006. All our properties are located in the celebrated wine villages of Puligny Montrachet, Meursault, and Pommard, as well as in Beaune, the most charming of small towns. We live in Pommard, so are always available to owners and guests alike whenever the need arises. Our property management services include the preparation and maintenance of the homes, responding to guest requests, processing reservations, and related sales and marketing activities. In addition, we have a ‘sister’ company, Arena Park France, directed to anyone wishing to purchase a home in Burgundy. Our services cover the full spectrum from identifying a property for you, assisting in the purchase process, undertaking all required renovations with our own building team, and if you so wish, supplying appliances, furniture and furnishings. The property you buy may have the ‘potential’ to become your dream home but our aim is to take that potential and turn your ‘dream home’ into a reality. If you have visited Burgundy, or are thinking of doing so in 2019, this film will give you a brilliant understanding of the connection of vineyard owners families and the vineyards themselves.
‘Ce qui nous lie’ was filmed in 2016 primarily around Meursault, Pommard and Puligny-Montrachet, with some footage also shot in Australia. (The director and principal actresses/actors stayed in our holiday homes)
The story covers off many of the elements held dear by the French, family, love, traditions and of course wine.
You should be able to find the English version on You Tube under the name of Return to Burgundy.

Driving in Burgundy. For car rental we can recommend www.europcar.com their service is generally very good and they have competitive prices.
Whoever you rent your car from, be sure to check when depots are open, the hours are not overly generous!
Another tip: If you normally drive on the left hand side at home, tell yourself, left hand shoulder to the centre lane.

As you may expect, there are many excellent restaurants in southern Burgundy.
The House Book in each of our holidays homes provides you with many suggestions including our personal favourites.
An exceptional dining experience can be found at Lameloise in Chagny. It has carried the coveted 3 star Michelin award for over 30 years.
You will need to book well in advance, although places for luncheon are sometimes available at shorter notice.
The most common comment about Lameloise is ‘the best meal I have ever had in my life’.

Anywhere in France, poking around in street markets is an irresistible activity.
One of the best in Burgundy is held in the streets and squares of Beaune, every Saturday morning from around 0800h.
Food, local products, clothing, antiques and bric-a-brac will have you spoilt for choice. Our suggestion, go in early, have a coffee and croissant at cafe Dix Carnot, then you are ready to explore.

Burgundy may not be as well known as the Loire for Chateaux, but there are still a number that will attract you historians.
One of the most interesting, a short drive from Beaune, is Chateau de la Rochepot, a medieval fortress still complete to this day with its own drawbridge.After you have walked your shoes off, relax in this home-away-from-home Apartment, Charmot de Pommard located in the celebrated wine village of Pommard. Whether you are 17 or 70, a ‘must do’ when visiting Burgundy is a cycle ride through the vineyards.
There is an excellent array of cycle routes to follow, many of them ‘off road’ except for the odd vineyard tractor or two.
Along the way you will find a number of ‘watering holes’ where you can pause for a cold drink, some people watching, and general reflection on the meaning of life. To relax after your ride, sipping a glass of cremant in the garden of our le Jardin apartment should fit the bill. For renting bicycles we recommend www.camping-Meursault.com

One of the under rated appeals of Burgundy is the ‘pace of life’.
No hustle, rarely any bustle, it quickly becomes very easy to relax and enjoy your stay.
Even in a small village like Puligny-Montrachet you can walk to the boulangerie, a small grocery, a café, wine tastings (naturally) and restaurants that range from a middle of the road bistro to a 1 star Michelin. No need to rush to rush here.
