🔨 Designed for transport. Built for the job.
📲 We recently had the opportunity to manufacture a bespoke flight case for a customer in the media & entertainment sector, designed specifically to transport and use their SQ-5 Digital Mixer on site.
The brief was clear: the mixer needed to be protected during transport, secure inside the case, but still ready to use as soon as the lid was removed. 💡
To achieve this, we designed the case with a shallow base, allowing the mixer to remain safely seated in position while being operated, without having to remove it from the case.
The lid was then designed around the mixer, with carefully positioned foam packing to hold the equipment securely in place during transport, preventing movement while still allowing quick access when on site.
The final requirement was just as important — the case needed to fit in with the customer's existing colour scheme, Green lid, making it easy to identify their equipment when working on busy sites alongside other production equipment.
A great example of how a bespoke case isn't just about protecting equipment — it's about understanding how the equipment is transported, stored and actually used.
