Storm Darcy made huge disruptions across Scotland and our operations have been hugely affected by adverse weather conditions. But anyway we are back to the road today and are happy about it 😃⠀

Having 20 years of driving experience I have some tips to share with you if you are stuck in snow ❄️ ⠀

First of all, do not panic 😅👍🏻 ⠀
⠀
🚙 Accelerate gently and use low revs. Do not spin your tyres or move your wheels from side to side! You will end up burying yourself deeper in snow. ⠀

🥄 Use anything you find to dig out the snow that is under your tyres. ⠀
⠀
⛸ If you encounter a skid, steer gently into it. For example, if the car is sliding to the right, steer to the right and never ever take hands off the steering wheel or stamp your foot on the brakes. ⠀

I hope that this small tips will help you in case you are stuck on the road and there is no one around to help you. ⠀

Yesterday I stuck twice 😅 First time my lovely neighbours helped me by rocking the car back and forward. Second time I used those techniques and managed to find the way out of snow by myself. ⠀

And of course, before you drive think if it is really necessary! ⠀
