This motto has played an important role at Hi-Speed for the past 40 years. “What’s a motto?” I hear you ask. “Nothing. What’s a motto with you?” — thank you, The Lion King, for that one.

For us, a motto is more than a phrase; it is a guiding principle for how we run and shape the business. Saying “yes” has helped us expand into new sectors, take opportunities, and develop the skills we need to adapt and grow.

The question matters less than the answer, our customers need to hear: “Yes.”

Last Friday, we weren’t going to let the heatwave beat us! ☀️🔥

It was a tough day for everyone, so we wanted to say a big thank you to our hardworking team with a quick staff BBQ.

Good food, great company, and as for the entertainment… we made our own! 😄

The 26th June marks National Take Your Dog to Work Day — otherwise known as the day productivity briefly drops every time someone says, “Who’s a good Boi?”

At Hi-Speed, we love our dogs, and whenever one of our K9 visitors pops in for the day, the office dynamic changes instantly. Suddenly, everyone has “urgent business” near the dog bed, and even the busiest members of staff somehow find time for a quick fuss with the four-pawed bestie.

There is also some proper science behind it. Dog-friendly workplaces can help reduce stress, improve mental wellbeing, and encourage more social connection between colleagues. In short: dogs make people calmer.

That said, let’s be sensible today — it is far too hot for our furry colleagues to clock in. Keep them cool, keep them shaded, maybe treat them to a cold bath, and only bring them into work if the workplace is properly air-conditioned. If you feel hot and bothered, imagine how they feel wearing a fur coat they can’t take off. So to us Today is CANCELLED!

Also, the 22nd was Bring Your Cat to Work Day. We tried it once. The cat chaired the meeting, ignored all action points, pawed the coffee cup off the table, and left early.
