A Smooth Start to the Season 🚂
We’re delighted to share that our very first journey of the year — Republics of the Silk Road aboard the Golden Eagle Express — has been a resounding success. From the moment we departed to our final destination, the tour ran seamlessly, delivering the signature comfort, service and immersive experiences our guests expect.
One of the undeniable highlights of this tour was a truly special and exclusive event — a private Nomad Games festival held on the breathtaking shores of Lake Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan.
Traditionally staged in the summer months, this vibrant celebration of Central Asian culture was arranged especially for our guests, offering a rare and intimate insight into nomadic heritage.
Set against the dramatic backdrop of snow-capped mountains and shimmering waters, guests were immersed in an unforgettable cultural showcase. The day was filled with traditional games and demonstrations, including expert archery, thrilling horseback competitions, and, of course, the awe-inspiring presence of the region’s iconic golden eagles.
The experience was further enriched with authentic local delicacies, lovingly prepared by local communities, allowing guests to savour the flavours of the Silk Road. As the festivities continued, the air filled with the sounds of traditional music performances, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere that perfectly captured the spirit of Kyrgyz culture.
