Marina and Boat Yard Assistant
Temporary Full Time – possibly leading to Permanent role.
This position involves all aspects of a busy marina and growing boatyard: The role includes but not restricted to:
• Training provided to operate a 40 ton boat hoist, telehandler and boat parker– to enable launching and lifting boats of various sizes.
• Simple maintenance, blocking off, power washing, antifouling and polishing various boats.
• Site maintenance and repairs.
• Providing practical assistance to customers arriving and departing the marina, serving fuel, providing general customer service.
• Inspecting the boats both ashore and on the water for safety and security.
• Keeping the safe, site clean and tidy.
Applicants must be aware the position is mostly outdoors working in all weathers being able to swim or willing to learn would be a requirement.
This position is full time, which involves working weekends, bank holidays as part of a rota system.
Salary dependent on age and experience.
