Over the years I have done dozens of TV and radio broadcasts across the world. Having just changed computers this video was unexpectedly visible on the new desktop.
Normally you get between 2 and 3 minutes maximum to explain a story. On world wide news channels it can be as little as 90 seconds.
Just before Christmas 2018 I had a call from BBC News to go to Glasgow to try to explain the chaos at Gatwick airport.
Not only did I get 5 minutes to develop an explanation of the danger of mixing drones and aeroplanes but the studio delayed the UK Government Transport Minister to allow me to finish my explanation.
