From everyone at Blairs, we would like to say a few words about someone who meant so much to us all.
Mark wasn’t just a colleague, he was a friend. Our Goldie. Our Budsie. Our Mark.
He called everyone “Budsy” and never finished a call without a “bysie byes.” You could rest assured at the start of every shift Mark would be the first to ring, wanting to know where his next two collections or deliveries were, and somehow he’d also be the last person to ring just as you were heading out of the office.
He loved a good chat, always ready to download about his day but just as quick to ask how you were. Always up for a laugh, with a great sense of humour and a way of keeping everyone smiling.
Mark loved the road. We’re sure Lymm Truckstop will have a space reserved just for him, as he never missed a chance to stop in, especially if it meant a trip to M&S to “get the good stuff for dinner.”
A very knowledgeable man, he knew his way around every nook and cranny of a vintage tractor. He never did get his “Major” off Jonny in the office, not for a want of trying, but he was always more than willing to help others, whether that was sourcing spare parts or figuring out how to fix something.
He will be sadly missed up and down the roads of the UK and Ireland, and by all of us here at Blairs.
Our hearts go out to his family and all his friends at this incredibly difficult time.
Bysie bye from all of us at Blairs, it will never be the same without you.
Rest easy, Mark ❤️🚛
