One of our 53-seat Executive Class coaches continues its tour of Normandy 🇫🇷, exploring a region steeped in history and significance.

From the D-Day beaches and memorials to the countless stories of courage and sacrifice from June 1944, Normandy remains a hugely important destination for visitors from around the world.

After taking in more of this remarkable region, it’s back on the road and heading into Paris for the weekend 🇫🇷🚌

🇫🇷 The final chapter of another Normandy & Paris tour!

Our 53-seat Executive Class coach is nearing the end of another fantastic journey with this group, with an itinerary packed full of history, culture and some truly memorable destinations.

For their final day, it was time to head to the magnificent Palace of Versailles — a fitting grand finale to an unforgettable tour. From the historic beaches and battlefields of Normandy to the sights and atmosphere of Paris, it’s been another superb few days exploring France in Executive Class comfort.

A busy itinerary today for our 53-seat Executive Class coach and its group, as they begin their day exploring the historic D-Day beaches of Normandy, France 🇫🇷

Steeped in history, the Normandy coastline was the scene of the Allied landings on 6 June 1944, when thousands of British, American, Canadian and Allied troops landed across five designated sectors — Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword — marking the beginning of the liberation of Western Europe.

Today’s visit provides an opportunity to walk in the footsteps of those who served, while learning more about the incredible bravery, sacrifice and events that unfolded here over 80 years ago.

Another fascinating day of history, remembrance and education, all delivered in the comfort of one of our Executive Class coaches. 🚌🇫🇷

It’s been another busy few days here at Peter Godward Coaches! 🚌🇬🇧🇫🇷

Our 34-seat Executive Class coach has departed for Northern France, and today our 53-seat Executive Class coach has also headed across the Channel, with both coaches undertaking 10-day tours of the region before continuing on to Paris. 🇫🇷

On Friday, our 53-seater paid a visit to the Cambridge American Cemetery. Set in beautiful countryside just outside Cambridge, the cemetery is the final resting place of more than 3,800 American servicemen who lost their lives during the Second World War. A peaceful but incredibly poignant place, commemorating those who made the ultimate sacrifice. 🇺🇸

Meanwhile, yesterday one of our 61-seat Executive Class coaches was on football duty, transporting the Southend United supporters group, Blues on Tour, as they followed their team. ⚽️💙

Our 51-seater executive class coach is away on tour again today, and what a stunning stop it has made at Lullingstone Castle! 🏰

Set in the beautiful Kent countryside, Lullingstone Castle is a historic country estate with a fascinating history stretching back centuries. The castle and its surrounding grounds provide a wonderful glimpse into Kent’s rich heritage, with beautiful gardens and picturesque countryside all around.

And with the weather doing its best today, the setting is looking absolutely spectacular! ☀️🌿

Another fantastic day of exploring, discovering and making memories with our guests — and another great destination for our 51-seater to visit.

⚽ The football season is underway! ⚽

Our 51-seat Executive Class coach had its first football hire of the season, providing travel for Bowers & Gifford as they headed off for their FA Cup First Round fixture against Harefield United FC.

Sadly, it wasn’t to be this time, with Bowers & Gifford going down 3–1. ⚽

Nevertheless, it’s great to have our coaches back on the road supporting local football clubs, players, staff and supporters as another busy season gets underway.

🇫🇷 A day of exceptional experiences in Normandy. 🐎

A wonderful morning spent in the company of a world-renowned horse racing trainer, offering our clients a unique insight into the sport and the world behind the scenes.

From there, it was on to a leisurely lunch before an afternoon of racing enjoying the atmosphere, hospitality and excitement of the French racing scene.

Our 34-seat Executive Class midi coach providing the perfect travelling environment throughout the day, as our clients continue their bespoke experience in Normandy.

And with glorious French sunshine overhead, it really doesn’t get much better than this. ☀️🇫🇷

Five fantastic days completed, with just two to go, for our 51-seat Executive Class coach as it continues its educational tour of Ireland and Northern Ireland. 🇮🇪🇬🇧

From breathtaking landscapes and historic landmarks to fascinating cultural visits, the group has packed so much into a busy itinerary, making memories at every stop along the way.

It’s been a full-on schedule, but that’s all part of the experience, and we’re delighted to hear everyone is thoroughly enjoying themselves. Here’s to making the most of the final two days before the journey home! 🚌

Ireland certainly turned on the welcome for our 51-seat Executive Class coach and its group, with glorious sunshine greeting their arrival yesterday for a week-long tour of some of the country’s finest attractions. 🇮🇪☀️

After a smooth and calm crossing from Holyhead to Dublin, today’s adventure began with a visit to Glendalough – one of Ireland’s most beautiful and historic locations. Nestled in a stunning glacial valley in the Wicklow Mountains, Glendalough is famous for its early medieval monastic settlement founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century, its iconic round tower, ancient ruins, and breathtaking lakeside scenery.

A fantastic start to what promises to be an unforgettable week exploring the Emerald Isle!
