A bit update is due, I know and apologies to the few that are still following. First of all this new role of managing a small logistics contract and all the issues and as well having to still do a few deliveries have left very little time for hobbying at home. Fortunately I have been able to attend to last 2 club Saturday meetings.
As you can see I've done the usual and not taken enough photos these are boards 1 & 3 as I'm starting to pack up. As board 2 is slightly longer / off scale length / extension to minimise points over board joins, I am going to keep that aside as for now.
Board 1 as you can see will be the bridge (to be built, redesigned) and the station. Buildings wise I intend to incorporate the steps down, booking office (shown) and the waiting room.
The current plan is to have the far end platform section unfixed, this will be to further enable board 2 to be used as an 'extension'.
Board 2 as I've mentioned due the added length is being used as an extension. A few factors have encouraged this including the 4 main tracks reaming straight, added scenic options / larger milk Dock. Yes I know the width has restrictions the goods yard, but a few 1foot scenic board extensions are planned to show the changing backscene.
Board 3 is the points into the station as you can see from a rough placement at the end of the day. Once boards 3 &4 are drafted up then construction of the 6 baseboards will begin ...
