Experienced Drivers:

Monday - Friday Rates

05:00 – 19:00: £15.00 per hour
19:00 – 23:00: £15.65 per hour
23:00 – 05:00: £16.50 per hour

Weekend Rate (begins from 15.00 on Friday until Midnight on Sunday)

05:00-19:00: £16.05 per hour
19.00- 23.00: £16.70 per hour
23.00- 05.00: £17.55 per hour

Realistic earnings:

• Base 5-day pattern - £50,500 per annum
• With the additional shift, this increases to c. £55,000 per annum
• Extra an extra £100 for a 6th shift!

We were thrilled to welcome 14 enthusiastic attendees on site, and every single one got the unforgettable chance to get behind the wheel of a truck and enjoy an exclusive tour of our cold storage facility. The energy, curiosity, and engagement made the day truly special.

As the Transport Shift Manager, you will work collaboratively to ensure effective running of our busy transport operation, ensuring that Operational KPIs are met and that the operations are conducted strictly in accordance with legal requirements, whilst helping to formulate and deliver the short, medium and long-term resource plans for your area.

The nature of the industry means that we are often very busy, and it is vital you can work under pressure. Work can be at short notice and with urgency and you are required to be flexible and committed to proving excellence in all work areas.

The job role involves the following duties:

· Managing the safety and cost-effective utilisation of all drivers and equipment
· Manage the team’s performance in line with Drivers Hours, WTD and MPG KPI’s
· Ensure records are correctly completed and maintained in accordance with company procedures.
· Promote company Health & Safety and employment policies within the transport operation.
· To support the daily operational workflow providing answers to urgent issues
· Actively work with the customer and other teams on site to achieve performance addressing any concerns or questions within a timely manner.
· Manage and investigate all delivery issues, communicating effectively to both internal and external parties as required.
· Ensure full adherence to all statutory and legal requirements

Skills

Strong administration skills - IT literate
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to resolve issues and complaints.
Team player - working with other team members to ensure business support.
Organisation and prioritisation of tasks, good attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to prioritise work loads

Experience / Requirements Desirable (not mandatory):

Experience using in-house transport management systems.
Previous experience in transport position is desired.
Familiarity with general office practices and procedures.
Prior experience with the CHESS system (training available).
Proficiency in maintaining comprehensive records.
Skill in managing workloads, time, and handling conflicting priorities.
International Transport Manager CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) is a plus.

Essential:

Knowledge of LGV transport.
Proficiency in general IT systems and applications within a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge and experience with driver hours and EU driver regulations.

Reed Boardall HGV Driver Academy

Have you ever wanted to become a qualified HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver? Now is your chance! Join our Driver Academy Today!

Our Training
For years, it was recognised that becoming an HGV driver could be costly, especially in times when finances are hard. We wanted to make a difference in people’s lives and allow those who want to become an HGV Driver to do so. Therefore, as a business, we launched the Reed Boardall Driver Academy.

Since launching our academy, we have funded over eighty new candidates and helped them gain the experience, skill, and knowledge they need to become confident and competent HGV drivers.

What is the cost?
There is no upfront cost to you for the training. Working with our local training providers, we will pay for all your upfront training fees, including theory and practical training, CPC, and tests!

What is the catch?
There is no catch! All we require is 12 months of continuous service as an HGV Driver with us after your training. Starting with a competitive “academy” rate of pay, then moving up to the “qualified” rate after your first 12 months. We also offer you a 2 and 3-year bonus for continuous service with us.

Why us?
Many companies will not take on new drivers and expect them to have at least 2 years’ experience. Not us! We believe that the best drivers are those who are given a chance, a chance to grow and develop into the experienced drivers everyone needs.

As a new driver with Reed Boardall, either from our Academy or as a new applicant, you will always go through a supportive training program with our in-house Driver Training Team. You will be designated a driver mentor who will coach and mentor you for as long as you need to succeed in your role as an HGV Driver. Whether it takes you a few days or a few weeks, you have a chance and a place to be given the support you need through your career.

We are looking for a Finance Assistant who will report into the Finance Manager and help to deliver a finance function that supports Reed Boardall’s (RB) overall strategic aims and objectives. The Finance Assistant is an integral part of RB’s Finance team and will provide guidance and support to managers and staff across a wide range of finance functions and undertake a range of associated administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

· Sales Ledger – Customer invoicing, processing payments, resolving invoice queries, Bank Reconciliations.

· Payroll – Support in processing the weekly payroll for all departments in a timely manner with high accuracy and attention to detail.

· Purchase Ledger - Process and maintain purchase ledger records, ensuring timely, quality financial processing is provided and maintained in accordance with RB procedures.

· Credit Control – Processing credit applications and approve/deny applications based on company standards, ensuring customers pay on time and chase any overdue invoices.

Skills Required:

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook

· Previous experience in a Finance/Accounts Function

· High Accuracy and attention to detail

· Experience of prioritising workload, time management and dealing with conflicting priorities.

Desirable:

· Experience with Pegasus Opera 3 (Payroll and Accounts Package)

Shift Pattern:

Monday - Friday, 09.00 am - 17.00 pm

Salary:

Between £26,500.00 - £29,000.00 per annum
