Nothing really to report today just a lot of hot driving between campsites on our way to Calais. We started in France then went to Luxembourg and finally in Belgium. So tonight I found a campsite in a very small town right on the border of Belgium and France. Small, quiet with some nature.

So broke camp a quick as we could this morning and headed back to the toboggan run in Todtnau but I made a slight error ...

So broke camp a quick as we could this morning and headed back to the toboggan run in Todtnau but I made a slight error on the satnav in the morning and ended up at Todtnauer Wasserfälle instead oops! But it was a very good view anyway lol.

From there we went to the Hasenhorn Rodelbahn Todtnau where we queued to get up the chair lift then we queued for 1.5 hours to get on the ride but it was worth the wait. (Video to follow) it’s a 2.9 km 40kmh down hill ride your never forget.

Not much to mention today, we left our apartment behind and headed out to the adventure golf place. 18 holes of laughter later and 2 hours gone we then headed to Hasenhorn Rodelbahn Todtnau which had been recommended to us by Jake at Traction. We arrived in time but they had already closed for the day. So after dinner prep on the wing top we then tired to find a campsite which took about 30 min of ringing around as everywhere was full but in the end we found one 40 min away in the south. A small place but just what we wanted out the way in the mountains. The roads on the way and the views were amazing. We will be going back along those roads tomorrow to go back to the Todtnau place.

So this morning we had a bust at our first activity as there was limited spaces and needed to be booked in advance at the massive long zip line experience.

So we carried on to visit the House of Black Forest Clocks by Adolf Herr which was amazing to see the hand crafted clocks from small to very big.

Just down the road was the House of 1000 Clocks which was also nice to see, with some more modern takes of the cuckoo clocks plus the more traditional, still hand made but in a factory type place.

Last on the clock day trip was the worlds biggest cuckoo clock which was ok but I think the first big clock was better. What was nice to see was the inner workings of the big clock from the inside.

Our final stop was to a cafe to get some Black Forest cake which had to be done as we are in the area where it is said to have come from. Great little cafe by a lake.

After dinner tonight at the apartment we was treated to a rain and light show lol sometimes it makes you glad for once your not in the roof tent.

Yesterday we started with Schloss Lichtenstein a lovely castle built on a rock high up on the hills. Not a true medieval castle but built on the ruins of one. Some amazing views and the decoration of the castle inside were quite ornate just a shame we couldn’t take pictures or a video to show you.

We then moved on to Nebelhöhle for to reasons, one it was recommended to us by a lady at the campsite the night before and also as it was so hot it was nice to go down there and spend some time in 9 deg temps to cool off.

We have now got our selfs an apartment for a few nights before we start to head back to the UK so we can use it as a base and not have to sort tents etc out.

So today adventure started at the Old Bridge Heidelburg and a short visit to the old town.

We then traveled to the Tree Top Walk Black Forest which had some of the most amazing views not only from the top of the tower but also along the path to it. The slide from near the top down to the bottom was a lot of fun and saved walking all the way down at the end.

We then traveled while cooking dinner on the way in the 12v oven to a campsite near to where we want to be tomorrow. Nice campsite next to the river which you can sw in and is quite clean.

We traveled yesterday to a ski resort as they have bobsled runs and other stuff in the summer. We arrived there and had lunch in the car as it just started to rain so we waited that out before heading to the park. We rode the rail type one first twice then when the stainless tube type ones had been dried off we went on that one together as it was a duel type one which you could race each other. This one was much more fun and a lot faster.

Before we left I loaded the oven up with dinner to cook on the hour drive.
