Trailnet CIC We are based in attractive woodland which promotes wellbeing. We are open 10-4 Weekends and school holidays and other days by prior appointment

Trailnet are an Essex and East London based community interest company dedicated to promoting outdoor activity in the form of cycling for all ages and abilities. We offer bike hire (including tagalongs and buggies for children), led health rides, cycling lessons for children and adults, inclusive trikes for adults and children both for hire and for led ride sessions, bike maintenance tuition, school sessions, private sessions, birthday parties, corporate days, in fact anything you wish for!

We had a great turnout, luckily still some sunshine and most importantly, some fantastic live music from Eddie Claydon Big Band 🎺 and Out Of The Blue Ukulele Band 🪕

Thank you to everyone who came along, supported the event, brought a picnic, brought a friend, danced, clapped, sang along or simply enjoyed the afternoon with us.

After 15 years working for Trailnet, Bernie has decided it’s time to escape the chaos and to retire to her country estate in Dunmow.

When she first started with us, most of her time was spent contacting SEND schools and disability groups to let them know about the cycling opportunities at Thorndon Country Park. Of course, with more service users and events, we needed someone to administer these, and Bernie was soon sucked into general office duties, a role for which she was to prove invaluable. To say that managing staff rotas is like herding cats is an understatement; cats can at least be bribed with edible treats.

As effective as she was with admin, she was most at home talking to anyone and everyone about what Trailnet could offer, and her enthusiasm was contagious. There are many regular riders who have joined us thanks to Bernie’s encouragement and are now reaping the benefits that cycling confers.

On behalf of everyone at Trailnet and all those living healthy lives because of her, we offer our profound thanks and best wishes for a long, happy and healthy retirement.

🚵 Master Advanced Trail Skills this Summer Holiday (Limited Spaces Available)

Does your child love riding off-road and always want to push themselves a little further?

Our brand-new Advanced BikeKlubz session is designed for confident young riders aged 8–15 who are ready for their next adventure. They'll build confidence, learn new technical skills, and experience the excitement of tackling more challenging woodland trails in a safe, supportive environment.

Led by our experienced instructors in Thorndon Country Park, riders will learn how to take on steeper climbs and descents, log obstacles, tighter trails and improve their overall bike control.

They'll also have the chance to learn exciting new skills including:
- Bunny hops
- Front wheel lifts and endos
- Balance beams
- Riding over larger trail obstacles
- Advanced off-road bike control

SEND Fest is a sensory-friendly festival offering exclusive access to Marsh Farm Animal Adventure Park for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), along with their families.
