Join us for a spooky off-road cycling session at Thorndon Country Park, Brentwood.

Friday 30 October, October Half Term from 10:30am to 2:30pm.

Designed for children aged 8–15 to build confidence, improve riding skills and have fun on two wheels. Including:

- Obstacle courses
- Bicycle limbo
- Ramps & see-saws
- A spooky ride through the park

No bike = no problem.
We have a full range of bikes available to use, so children can take part without bringing their own.

Ride for Haven House! 💚

We’re helping Haven House Children’s Hospice spread the word about two local cycling events raising vital funds to support seriously ill children and their families.

🚴 Lee Valley Half Century – a longer-distance challenge for cyclists looking to push themselves and enjoy a great ride.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Epping Forest Family Bike Ride – a fun, accessible ride for families and cyclists of all ages and abilities.

💚 Both rides are raising funds for Haven House, so if you’re looking for your next cycling challenge or a family day out on two wheels, take a look!

✅ For electrical repairs parts may be required to complete a repair at a later date, and in this case advice will be given.
✅ For textile repairs that would need parts e.g. a replacement zip please bring a spare one if you can.

After 15 years working for Trailnet, Bernie has decided it’s time to escape the chaos and to retire to her country estate in Dunmow.

When she first started with us, most of her time was spent contacting SEND schools and disability groups to let them know about the cycling opportunities at Thorndon Country Park. Of course, with more service users and events, we needed someone to administer these, and Bernie was soon sucked into general office duties, a role for which she was to prove invaluable. To say that managing staff rotas is like herding cats is an understatement; cats can at least be bribed with edible treats.

As effective as she was with admin, she was most at home talking to anyone and everyone about what Trailnet could offer, and her enthusiasm was contagious. There are many regular riders who have joined us thanks to Bernie’s encouragement and are now reaping the benefits that cycling confers.

On behalf of everyone at Trailnet and all those living healthy lives because of her, we offer our profound thanks and best wishes for a long, happy and healthy retirement.
