Just a quick update on yesterday's post, a lot of people have said to name and sham the company that quoted me the preposterous price of £1000 for a suspected puncture repair unfortunately I do not know the name of the company as I had called several companies in the area and had no answer and this was someone who called me back so I'm not sure which company it was but the company I did the repair was Hewitts tyres in Banbury so five stars to those guys for coming through for us and getting our man back on the road 👍

Earlier this morning one of our drivers reported a slow puncture on his truck in Cherwell Valley services. I called a local tyre fitter and this was his quote for a puncture repair! How could he think anyone in their right mind would pay that sort of money to have a puncture repaired!!

We found a tyre garage nearby and took the truck into them. It turned out to be a leaking valve stem which they quickly replaced and pumped the tyre back up they refused to take any money for such a simple fix. Just shows there are some absolute con men out there stealing a living from people but at least it's good to know there are also decent people out there willing to help others out without taking the p**s!

A timelapse from a delivery a couple of weeks ago. 3 hours condensed into 84 seconds. Removing and replacing 52 tilt boards and sliding posts unloading then reset resetting the roof from 2.75 m to 3 m ready for the next load a good workout when it is 32° outside ! 🥵

🟢⚪️ Class one drivers required ⚪️🟢

We are currently looking speak to any freelance drivers out there to add to the contact list for upcoming holiday and peak cover.

We are based in Avonmouth, the work is majority UK tramping on general haulage and garden centre deliveries

All the trucks have tv, microwave, fridge and night time aircon.

LHD experience an advantage but not essential

Work available from the 18th of August onwards

Could turn into long term / full time work for the right person
