Twas the night before moveday, and all through the place,
Boxes were stacked up, each one in its space.
The furniture nestled, wrapped snugly with care,
In hopes that the movers soon would be there.
The children were restless, all set for the change,
Excitement and nerves feeling oddly strange.
And I in my jammies, with snacks piled high,
Prepared for the morning with a hopeful sigh.
When out on the street there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the curtains, and made such.a crash.
The moonlight was shining on boxes galore,
Piled high on the truck, ready to soar.
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But Freddie and the team, full of good cheer.
With tools and with tape, they worked through the night,
Packing and lifting, it was quite the sight.
“Now kitchen! Now living room! Now bedroom and hall!
Now load up the truck, we’ll move it all!”
As I watched from the window, a smile on my face,
I felt a warmth in this chaotic place.
For though we were leaving the home that we knew,
New memories awaited, adventures too.
So I settled down, embraced the unknown,
Knowing that soon, this new house would feel like home.
And as I drifted off to dreams I just had to say, thank you Cheshire Moving & Storage for this strss free moveday.
