It’s Bank Holiday Monday and we’re running two steam trains today! As well as a heritage train journey, you can enjoy some great additional activities -

Service update - Saturday 29th August 2026

Due to a fault with 33002, we regret to advise that the 1120 Buckfastleigh - Totnes and the 1210 Totnes - Buckfastleigh are cancelled today.

The 1300 Buckfastleigh - Totnes and 1345 Totnes - Buckfastleigh will be worked by W55000, our single carriage diesel unit.

From 1430, services that were planned to be hauled by 33002 will now be hauled by 5526.

We expect 5526 to work all other services on Sunday and Monday, that were originally planned for 33002. 1369 continues to work it’s planned services, meaning you can travel behind both of our steam engines over this weekend!

Join us on Saturday 29th August and enjoy Bow Creek performing at Rails & Ales, Staverton Station, between 6pm and 7.30pm. Playing a mix of popular folk, shanties and a few familiar covers, it’s the perfect way to end the day. 🎻

The beer festival takes place at the idyllic Staverton Station, where there are two bars, BBQ and a large seating marquee. Our heritage trains are operating from Buckfastleigh and Totnes Riverside stations all day and in to the evening.

The engines are steaming and the drinks are ready. Summer Rails & Ales begins today 🚂🍻

Hop aboard a heritage train to Staverton and settle in for a great selection of ales, craft beers and ciders, with food and refreshments available from the Buffet Car on the train on your way there!
