East Staffordshire Flying Club

East Staffordshire Flying Club Facebook group for ESFC members. Somewhere to share Club goings on. You do not need to be a pilot to join ESFC - just an interest in aviation!

East Staffordshire Flying Club is based at Tatenhill Airfield near Burton on Trent and has been going since 1993. The main benefit of joining the club is the opportunity to mix with like-minded people in a friendly club atmosphere, but we also have the following to offer:-

A dedicated clubhouse room in The Squadron Office with social area providing free tea and coffee

Flight simulator (checkout

required)

PC with flight planning software

Social events

Fly-outs and other flying events and competitions

Discounted medical examinations

A complete set of PPL training manuals (including IMC) plus sample test papers (Confusers)

Membership is just £20 and runs from 1st February till 31st January. (Commercial operations on the field are undertaken by Tatenhill Aviation Ltd and are a separate entity to ESFC.)

Not long now until the final ESFC flyout of the season to Wickenby. Yet again Tatenhill Aviation have agreed to support the event with discount on self hire aircraft. Hopefully the Weather will be kind and we will see many members and aircraft flying then.

In light of the tragic events of yesterday and a flight to Caernarfon, we have decided that tomorrow’s flyout will no go to Kemble instead. Online PPR is required by any arriving pilots. We will still meet in the clubhouse at 09.15 for first aircraft away at 10.00. The Spitfire is still at Tatenhill so there maybe some delays in taxi and takeoff . Any questions please contact me

Sunday is the ESFC flyout to Caernarfon. Tatenhill have again agreed to support us with self hire aircraft at a discount rate, please contact them directly.
