🌊 A different view of Rathlin’s famous West Lighthouse ⚓

Some views are only possible from the water… and this is one of them.

As we passed the dramatic cliffs of Rathlin Island, skipper Gerry captured these fantastic shots of the iconic West Lighthouse, perched high above the Atlantic on one of the island's most spectacular headlands. Built in 1919, this remarkable "upside-down" lighthouse is unique, with its light positioned lower down the cliff to guide vessels safely through the North Channel.

This is a view most people never see. From the water, the scale of Rathlin's cliffs and the position of the West Lighthouse become even more impressive—a perspective reserved for those travelling by sea.

Have you visited Rathlin Island, or seen the West Lighthouse from the sea? We'd love to hear about your favourite memories in the comments. 👇

Front row seats to nature’s best show. 🐬 Keep watching… the Atlantic always has surprises in store. Thank you to our skipper Gerry for sharing his view!

A cracking bit of footage from just outside Campbeltown Loch yesterday.

Warren caught this minke whale on video and it’s a belter. Good eyes, good timing, and a brilliant reminder of the wildlife we’re lucky enough to see out on these waters.

Great capture from Warren, thank you for sharing!
