The team are busy laying our new Dura Composites pontoon walkways whilst lapping up the sun โ˜€๏ธ

The new GRP decking is designed to be safer, stronger, and longer-lasting than traditional materials.

โœ”๏ธ Slip-resistant in all conditions (wet, icy, or oily)
โœ”๏ธ Tough against wear, corrosion, and chemicals
โœ”๏ธ Low maintenance and longer lifespan
โœ”๏ธ Non-conductive for added safety around shore power

It also holds 33% less embodied carbon than other GRP walkway grating.

Today was an exciting day at Aberystwyth Marina as the team launched their winter project, our trusty workboat 'Judy'.

Following her full refit, including Western Marinas brand colouring, she is ready to carry out her duties this summer.

๐ŸŒธ This International Womenโ€™s Day, weโ€™d love to introduce our wonderful Finance Manager, Katie Watson.

Katie joined Western Marinas in 2024 and has quickly become a much-loved member of the team, bringing energy, enthusiasm and professionalism to everything she does.

Although new to the marine industry, Katie has embraced it with open arms. Some of her highlights so far include:
โ›ต Being at the heart of our berth holder events โ€“ running our pop-up bars, helping on reception, organising food, and generally getting stuck in wherever needed.
โ›ต Jumping at the chance to sail across the Bristol Channel from Cardiff Marina to celebrate the relaunch of Watchet Marina.
โ›ต Throwing herself into the buzz of the Southampton International Boat Show โ€“ supporting the team on our stand and at networking events.

This week, Katie is continuing to grow her marine knowledge by taking part in the British Marine Yacht Brokers course.
