Chalfont St Peter Preschool We are a small Preschool who deliver the EYFS to children 2 & above. Over 5 days our setting is open from 8.00 am until 5.30 pm for 38 weeks.

We are registered with Ofsted and accept all levels of funding.

🦋 Butterfly Life Cycle 🦋
Our children have been fascinated learning about the incredible life cycle of a butterfly. They have eagerly observed each stage of the journey—from tiny caterpillars growing bigger each day, to forming their chrysalises, and finally emerging as beautiful butterflies.
Watching this amazing transformation has sparked lots of curiosity, excitement, and wonderful conversations about nature and change. It has been a memorable hands-on learning experience, and the children were thrilled to see the butterflies take their first flight! 🌿🦋

A huge thank you to Miss Renee for creating yet another amazing vehicle for our children to enjoy! 🚗⛵

The children absolutely adore it and have been busy driving and sailing off on wonderful adventures to the shops, the beach, and wherever their imaginations take them! Their creativity and storytelling have been incredible to watch.

Of course, we’ve also been learning about road and water safety—everyone knows we have to wear our seatbelt, or we might just fall off! 😄

Thank you, Miss Renee, for giving our children another fantastic opportunity to learn through imaginative play.

🏃‍♀️⚽ Sports Week Fun! 🏅🌈

A few weeks ago, our preschoolers had an amazing time during Sports Week! They took part in a variety of fun activities that encouraged coordination, balance, movement, and teamwork. It was wonderful to see everyone trying their best, building confidence, and having lots of smiles along the way! 💛

🐸 We have been learning all about the frog life cycle! This week we visited our local pond and were so excited to spot real tadpoles in the water.

Back at preschool, the children have been exploring the frog life cycle in lots of different ways through tuff trays, playdough, crafts, small world play and hands-on activities. We are loving watching their curiosity grow as they learn through play! 💚

Fee-fi-fo-fum… here’s a little look back at our Jack and the Beanstalk activities from the past few weeks 🌱✨

From squishy playdough creations and maths challenges to imaginative tuff trays and HUGE beanstalk towers, the children completely brought the story to life.

What started as simple tower building quickly turned into giant beanstalks reaching up to the clouds ☁️💚

One of our favourite moments was seeing a child recreate their own beanstalk at home to share with us — we love seeing their ideas and learning continue beyond the setting!

🎉 Happy Birthday, David Attenborough! 🎉

Thank you for inspiring us to care for animals and protect their habitats. Today, the children celebrated by becoming little vets, caring for our toy animals, and getting creative by building animal habitats using recycled materials and rubbish. 🐾♻️

We loved seeing their imagination, teamwork, and kindness shine through as they learned how small actions can help make a big difference for wildlife. 🌍💚

This week, our story focus was The Gingerbread Man! ✨
The children had a wonderful time learning the story, joining in with the repeated refrains, and bringing the tale to life through a range of fun activities. From storytelling to hands-on learning, their enthusiasm was fantastic to see!
To make the experience even more special, the children baked their very own gingerbread men 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 and they had one for snack.
A week full of creativity, learning, and tasty treats! 💛
