We’re incredibly proud to announce that Rochester Airport’s Family Fun Day and Air Display raised £8,400.88 for Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex. 🚁❤️

Around 4,500 people joined us on 1st August for a fantastic day of aviation, family entertainment and community spirit, and we’re delighted that the event has enabled us to support such an important local charity.

Airport Director Ben Spiers, together with members of the Rochester Airport team, was proud to present the donation to David Welch, Chief Executive of Air Ambulance Charity – Kent Surrey and Sussex.

The charity provides lifesaving emergency medical care across Kent, Surrey and Sussex, and we are very pleased to be able to contribute to the incredible work they do every day.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the event possible including our Sponsors, Invicta Aero Club, Jet Bean Coffee and Live Innovative Solutions; alongside our staff, volunteers, pilots, display teams, exhibitors, sponsors and, of course, every single person who bought a ticket and came along to support the day. This is a fantastic achievement for the whole Rochester Airport community and a great example of what can be achieved when aviation and the local community come together.

Jet Bean Rochester has been operating as a pop-up over the past few months, and they are now preparing to turn their space at Rochester Airport into a permanent coffee shop.

They’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Barista to join the team and help them build a welcoming place where people can enjoy great coffee, relax and feel part of the community.

They’re looking for someone with experience in:

☕ Quality espresso-based drinks
🎨 Latte art
😊 Great customer service
🤝 Working well in a busy team environment
✨ Maintaining a clean and welcoming workspace

Their speciality coffees are inspired by aviation, with the runway providing a pretty unique backdrop!

They are ideally looking for a full-time team member, although part-time opportunities are also available.

What a day!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to the Rochester Airport Air Display and Family Fun Day on Saturday 1st August 2026.

We were absolutely delighted to welcome a sell-out crowd for a brilliant day of live music, fairground rides, family entertainment and, of course, a fantastic flying display.

It was great to see such a wide variety of aircraft in the air and on the ground, including the Spirit of Kent Spitfire, Pitts Special, Mustang, Storch, Piper Cub, the Invicta Aero Club formation and the Jump Dogs Parachute Display Team, alongside our static aircraft displays.

A big thank you also goes to Medway Aircraft Preservation Society for bringing Rochester’s aviation history to life, and to the Royal Air Force Air Cadets for their performances and support throughout the day.

Events like this simply would not happen without the pilots, performers, volunteers, exhibitors, traders, emergency teams, airport staff and everyone working behind the scenes.

Thank you as well to our sponsors, Jet Bean Coffee, Invicta Aero Club, Live Innovative Solutions and Astra Mesa, and to everyone who helped us support Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance.

Most of all, thank you to everyone who came through the gates and made the day such a success. It was fantastic to see the airport full of families, aviation enthusiasts and members of the local community.

We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did, and we look forward to welcoming you back again next year!
