Climate change is already reshaping the world around us. World Environment Day is a reminder that accelerating action matters now.

Our 2025 Sustainability Report is now live 🌍

This year’s report is our most transparent yet – fully aligned to the Global Reporting Initiative framework – and it sets out the measurable progress we’ve made across our global operations. A few of this year’s highlights: annual energy use generated 56% fewer emissions than Woodland’s 2022 baseline, a 59% cut in material handling emissions in a single year, and a third consecutive Gold EcoVadis rating that places us in the top 3% of companies assessed worldwide.

Progress in logistics rarely comes from one big breakthrough. It comes from hundreds of smaller decisions, all moving in the right direction.

Hong Kong: Closed 25 May 2026 in observance of Buddha’s Birthday
UK: Closed 25 May 2026 for the Spring Bank Holiday, with the exception of Doncaster warehouse operations and limited activity at Heathrow. All UK sites will reopen on 26 May 2026
US: Closed 25 May 2026 in observance of Memorial Day
Republic of Ireland: Closed 1 June 2026 for the June Bank Holiday

As we approach the early May period, please note that office closures will vary by region due to public holidays:

- China: Closed 1–5 May 2026 for the Labour Day holiday period. Operations will resume on 6 May, with an additional working day on 9 May.
- Hong Kong: Closed 1 May 2026 for Labour Day.
- UK and Ireland: Closed 4 May 2026 for the Early May Bank Holiday, with the exception of Doncaster (UK) warehouses and limited operations at Heathrow (UK). All UK and Ireland sites will reopen on Tuesday 5 May.
- US: No closures; operations will continue as normal.

🌍 This World Earth Day, we’re reflecting on the impact behind every shipment - and the steps we’re taking to reduce it.

At Woodland Group, we are working to improve efficiency, optimise movement, and explore more sustainable ways of operating.

♻️ We reduced CO2e from material handling by 59%, with less than 6% remaining to transition to battery electric or low-carbon fuels across our global operations.
♻️ We are continuing to decarbonise transport, running battery electric HGV trials and improving fleet efficiency across our operations.
♻️ Over 72% of total waste was diverted from landfill in 2025, with 57% successfully recycled through our waste management processes.
♻️ Woodland’s electricity emissions are now 56% lower than our 2022 baseline.

Transport plays a significant role in global emissions, which means every decision we make matters.

We have retained our EcoVadis Gold accreditation, placing Woodland Group in the top 3% of over 150,000 companies assessed globally.

Bringing colleagues together from across our Asia network for a team building event in Changsha was a great reminder of what makes us strong: great people, shared ambition, and one connected team 💙

With teams from across our Greater China region all in one place, it was a chance to celebrate success, strengthen relationships, and reflect on the continued growth of our business.

Woodland Group has been operating in Asia for over three decades, with a long-established presence across Mainland China and Hong Kong. Over that time, we’ve built a strong and evolving regional platform designed around our customers’ needs.
