Clyde Training Solutions is a unique centre of excellence dedicated to the delivery of mandatory and industry enhancing marine, oil & gas and offshore training courses – making it the only one of its kind in Central and Lowland Scotland. This is the latest in the range of services offered by The Clyde Group and builds upon existing services provided by Cly

de Marine Training, which since 2005 as part of its Short Courses division has been providing industry recognised and certified training courses for marine personnel, in addition to its core function of being the No.1 training provider for the British Merchant Navy, recruiting approximately 50% of the annual Trainee Officer intake. The success of the Short Courses division, however, in terms of volume of delegates and courses required led to the creation of this purpose built centre in Clydebank, the heartland of Scotland’s ship-building past, present and future. The centre offers basic to advanced courses for both marine and Oil and Gas sectors and is certified to deliver full STCW, MCA and offshore approved and mandated courses, all under the same roof! Approval to gain Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organisation (OPITO) accreditation for a number of courses from the facility will also be sought. Specialist courses will be provided on-site which require specific simulation equipment to deliver realistic real-life scenarios, utilising the following equipment:

- Deep-water training pool
- HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training)
- Fire training ground complete with module training stack
- Helideck, complete with multiple foam monitors and access points

Do you know the requirements for working offshore?

A BOSIET certification is required, as it teaches important survival skills in case of an emergency. In addition to your BOSIET certificate, you must also have;
👉Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST) Certification
👉OGUK Medical
👉Fit to Train
👉Shoulder Measurement

Completing these additional courses separately can become time consuming and expensive, which is why at RelyOn we have created bundles to allow you to get all the required qualifications under one roof for huge saving! With our BOSIET courses starting from just £700*.

You can complete this training in Aberdeen, Teesside and now in Glasgow, thanks to RelyOn's acquisition of Clyde Training Solutions!

Once you complete your BOSIET, you'll be certified for four years. To retain your certification you must then do a Further Offshore Emergency Training, FOET.
