We'd like to say a massive well done to our Transport Manager, Stephen Little, and his family for completing the Race for Life!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of friends, family, colleagues and everyone who donated, they have raised over £1,300 for Cancer Research UK in memory of Stephen's mam.

All the team at Lawsons Haulage is proud to support our Transport Manager, Stephen Little, as he takes on the Cancer Research UK Race for life 5K in Carlisle on 5th July.

Stephen will be tackling the challenge alongside his children and niece in memory of his mam, who sadly passed away in January 2024. By taking part, he's hoping to raise as much money as possible to support the life-saving work of Cancer Research UK and help bring us closer to beating this devastating disease.

🏗️Trainee Slinger / Signaller & Lift Supervisor

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career working the lifting industry. The successful candidate will receive structured training and mentoring from experienced industry professionals, with the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications and progress into supervisory roles.

Responsibilities
* Ex*****on of lifting operations
* Directing crane movement safely on site
* Learning to inspect lifting accessories and equipment
* Supporting lift supervisors and appointed persons
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety and industry standards

Requirements
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
* Excellent communication skills
* Reliable, punctual and safety conscious approach
* Ability to work outdoors and travel when required
* Full UK driving licence preferred

🏗️Trainee Mobile Crane Operator

We are also looking for an enthusiastic individual to develop into a mobile crane operator. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn from experienced operators while working on a wide range of lifting projects across the construction infrastructure and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities
* Assisting with stand setup and daily inspections
* Learning safe crane operating practices
* Supporting lifting operations on customer sites
* Working alongside experienced operators and lifting teams
* Maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism

Requirements
* Positive attitude and willingness to undertake training
* Good practical and mechanical aptitude
* Commitment to health and safety
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Full UK driving licence
