Big shoutout to the lads at Digger Boats Ltd 👏

I’ve been living onsite at Carthagena Fisheries for 23 years now, and we’ve had plenty of work done over the years… but this one tops the lot!

We’ve been fighting a losing battle with reeds taking over the entrance to one of our bays for a few years now. Even tried getting in ourselves with dry suits and pulling them out by hand 😅 absolutely brutal work and getting nowhere fast… was starting to think we’d lose the bay completely.

On top of that, the carp were loving it — hiding in the reeds and becoming a nightmare to catch 🎣

We’d had other companies in before with w**d boats, but if I’m honest, the results just weren’t great.

Got James from Digger Boats in, he came down, had a proper look and got stuck in… and what a job they’ve done!

3 days later and the place has been completely transformed 🙌 it’s something I’ve wanted sorted for years and it’s finally done.

Already this spring we’ve had over 22 fish out — including a few we haven’t seen in years! Normally we’d only see a handful by now.

Can’t recommend them enough — top lads, proper job done 👍

Norfolk Reed and Tree clearance for a local fishing club this week.

We were asked by Colchester Piscatorial Society to help them clear reeds and trees from a 3 acre lake in Colchester. We deployed our Amphibious Digger and Digger Boat and cleared 3/4 of an acre of reeds in two locations either side of the watercourse, deepened the lake and took out aprox 70 tons of silt and soft clay over a two day operation.

The club now has space to put in 6 new swims for its members and the fish have more water capacity to thrive and grow.

The club was very pleased with the results 🙂
