π£BREAKING NEWS FROM THE SSDA CONFERENCE
π΄ββοΈThe brand new 250-mile coast to coast cycle route across the south of Scotland will be named after Kirkpatrick Macmillan, the 19th century Dumfriesshire blacksmith who invented the first pedal-driven velocipede, it has just been announced at the SSDA sell-out conference at Peebles Hydro.
β‘οΈOfficially called 'The Kirkpatrick C2C, South of Scotlandβs Coast to Coast' the route will span the South of Scotland from Stranraer in the west with Eyemouth on the east.
πProjections suggest the new route, which will launch formally this summer, could attract up to 175,000 new visitors to the region, with a direct spend of Β£13.7M per year.
