One of our UK Polymarine product dealers shared this before and after case study following a recent enquiry from a customer.

Customer; I have a red RIB boat that has faded due to being exposed to weather and sunlight on trailer (see photo). It was bright red and I’m looking for a product that will bring it back to red.

Some of the team from Polymarine we’re delighted to attend and support Marathon Leisure’s ‘Supplier Day’ in Southampton 08/10/2024, where they got to present Polymarine’s full range of Adhesives, Cleaners and Paint products to a variety of different end users and retailers. It was a great opportunity to show Polymarine’s high quality branded products and to demonstrate how they can successfully Repair, Clean, Restore and Protect all PVC and Hypalon RIB’s and Inflatables.

Marathon Leisure are the Trade-Only Distributor supplying the marine leisure market in the U.K. & Ireland.

Polymarine has moved!
Following the exciting acquisition by Anglo Adhesives in June, and after many weeks of hard graft, we are pleased to finally welcome the last lorry loads of Polymarine stock into the Anglo site in Melton Mowbray.

We will miss our frequent trips to Colwyn Bay, but we’re all ready to get ‘stuck in’ and being operational from one site. Thank you to everyone who got involved making this happen, it’s been a fantastic effort from the whole team, now the real work begins!

A message to all our valuable customers and suppliers: We thank you sincerely for your continued support, and we wish to assure you that although the Polymarine business has moved into Anglo’s manufacturing site in Melton Mowbray, Polymarine Ltd will continue to run as an independent company, and many things you have enjoyed over the years will stay the same, even the phone number and email addresses, so its very much business as usual!

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed welcoming Richard Wilkinson to the Anglo site this week – the amalgamation of the two businesses is really taking shape now as we take more and more steps forward with our exciting new Polymarine venture !

Polymarine are pleased to announce that as from Monday 3rd June 2024 they sold the full shareholding to Anglo Adhesives & Services Ltd based in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, England.

Anglo Adhesives are a well-established, independently owned adhesive manufacturer based in the Midlands, servicing diverse market sectors in the UK and Worldwide and in the words of Charlotte Davey, Anglo’s Managing Director:

“We are both proud and excited to have acquired Polymarine Ltd with whom we have been in discussions for quite a long period of time. Polymarine is a reputable business supplying a highly-respected brand of Adhesives, Paints, Cleaning Products, Components and Accessory items into the Marine and Inflatable Boat Industry. They are market leaders of these products in the UK, USA, Australia, Europe and the Far East which is a testament to their longstanding loyal customer base.

The business ethos is in many respects similar to our own, and naturally with our adhesive knowledge and manufacturing expertise in Melton Mowbray we have synergy in some of the products it supplies and whist we may be relatively new to the Marine Industry, we like to think we know a fair bit about glue!

Richard Wilkinson and Mike Capper will remain on hand for a little while to ensure a smooth transition over to Anglo and I know that they are both excited about the future prospects of the new combined operation for its customers.

The future of the joint business in terms of resources in all areas presents some great opportunities. We strongly believe that all the Polymarine customers will benefit from Anglo’s expertise both commercially and technically which will result in improving formulas and introducing several new products to the market – and we can’t wait to get stuck in but for now it’s business as usual”
