A huge milestone for T! 🐴✨

When T first came to me loading onto a 7.5-tonne lorry had become a real challenge after a previous scare. Understandably, his confidence had taken a knock and simply approaching the lorry was stressful for him.

Over the last 2 months, we’ve taken things at T’s pace focusing on rebuilding his confidence through calm, consistent training and positive experiences. No rushing, no pressure just giving him the time he needed to feel safe again.

Today, I’m so proud to say that T is happily walking on and off both lorries, relaxed and confident, and even enjoying a tasty treat while standing onboard! 🍎🥕

It’s been incredibly rewarding to watch his confidence grow, and it’s a great reminder that patience, understanding, and consistency really do pay off.

Well done, T you’ve been an absolute superstar! 🌟💙

As temperatures rise, your horse’s safety and welfare become even more important.

At AS Transport, we take extra precautions during warmer weather to ensure every journey is as safe, comfortable and stress-free as possible. From maximising airflow and offering fresh water, to planning journeys during the cooler parts of the day, your horse’s wellbeing is always our priority.

Every horse is different, and if we feel the weather conditions could compromise your horse’s welfare, we’ll always discuss the best option with you even if that means rearranging your journey.

We’d rather delay a trip than put a horse at risk. ❤️

🚨‼️EQUINE INFLUENZA ALERT ‼️🚨

With recent cases of equine influenza being reported, we want to remind all horse owners to keep a close eye on their horses and monitor for any signs of illness.

Common symptoms can include:
• Coughing
• Nasal discharge
• Fever
• Lethargy
• Reduced appetite

If your horse is showing any symptoms, please seek veterinary advice and avoid unnecessary movement to help prevent the spread.

For clients needing to rearrange or postpone transport due to concerns around equine influenza, please get in touch with us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate changes where we can.

Speedy recovery Ducky!! Thank you Liege Manor for trusting me transporting your sweet girl 🫶🏼

For those of you that don’t know but might’ve been wondering why you haven’t seen our darling Ducky for a while, this one’s for you….

Poor Ducks has had the time of it lately, firstly going lame to not conforming to any ‘normal’ types of treatment she had to go up to B&W Breadstone Hospital on Thursday last week for some further investigations.
As is often the case, the investigations weren’t as straight forwards as one had hoped and it meant she had to extend her stay at the hospital.

She’s been through the mill including being a little poorly after some work so she stayed on until today but we are pleased to say she is now home - although not completely out of the woods🫣.

We’d like to that this opportunity to say a few important thank yous…
❣️To Ducky’s Family - Angela, James & Charlotte for ensuring that she has the love and attention to remind our Duckster that she is very much loved, valued and appreciated even while she’s off work (which she’s not a fan of🤪)
❣️To our fabulous team at home for their daily attention and care for all of our wonderful equine friends. They are the ones who notice when the ponies are feeling under the weather to allow them to get the treatment they need and deserve 💕
❣️ To Antonia at .transportation for bringing our girl home safely after her stay at the hospital 🚛
❣️ To the team at B&W Breadstone for all you’ve done for her whilst she’s been with you 🥰

She’s not quite ready to return to work so you may not see her out and about just yet but we are hopeful for her future and will keep you all posted💕

These horses and ponies are the life and soul of what we do. They are the beginning of so many equestrian journeys and do so with such composure (most of the time🫣).

These are the horses and ponies who teach the Coaches, Dentists, Chiropractors, Physios, Riders & Vets of our future… They so deserve to be loved, remembered and treated accordingly🥰
