Its been an exceptional week for Sea Eagle sightings on Jura, with over 10 different birds seen from the boat in the past 3 days. There are 4 pair within a 5 mile radius of Craighouse, and numerous other's around the coastline, so there is definitely no decline in numbers round here!

Passengers have enjoyed numerous sightings of adult and juvenile Sea Eagles this week(7 yesterday between 2 Corry tours) and also a large golden eagle and plenty porpoise in the gulf.

A great example of the layering effect of Dalradian Quartzite on Jura, after the ice age, as are the numerous raised beaches on the west coast.

This is one, of a new pair of Sea Eagles that have settled on Jura, and we are seeing them on most trips. That's now 11 pairs that we have around the Jura coastline.

A fledgling Sea Eagle seen this week from Jura Explorer. Often confused as Golden Eagles due to dark brown plumage, no white tail, or pale head.
