Job description
Night Trunk HGV Class 1 Driver
DNA provides competitive and extremely reliable logistics solutions, this is why we are fast becoming the carrier of choice in the South East. We have invested heavily in a new modern fleet and training to gain FORS Silver approved carrier status. We are looking for experienced Class 1 drivers to join our lively and friendly team of professionals delivering palletised freight as well as same-day distance deliveries.
Working pattern: working Monday-Friday nights 18.30 to finish.
Realistic average earnings £41,000pa (includes overtime and bonus) Basic salary starts at £38,000pa plus bonus, plus overtime.
Responsibilities of Class 1 Driver:
Ensure to develop and maintain positive customer relationships, delivering exceptional customer service
To comply with driving hours and working time directives
To ensure driving ability adheres to the safety of others and oneself on the road, always ensuring legal compliance
Ensure a professional image of the company and oneself is always presented
Ensuring all paperwork is correctly signed, properly distributed and all administration is accurate
Deliver and collect freight within service levels of agreement
Ensure daily vehicle checks are actioned to support Health and Safety criteria
Oversee safe loading and unloading of goods
Responsible for security of loads
To lead and give example to other drivers by offering support
Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements
Willingness to work increased hours during peak times
Requirements of Class 1 Driver:
A good level of fitness is needed as some manual handling is involved.
Must hold a full UK licence for a minimum of 2 years
1 year + professional Class 1 driving experience preferred
Have a digi tacho card and hold a CPC qualification card
