A lucky escape!
Now then boys and girls what can we learn from watching this.
1, Never tie your boat up to the rung of a lock ladder when it's empty and you're going uphill.
2, Always have a sharp knife handy for cutting ropes in case you do something silly such as in number one!
3,Can anyone spot the other mistake being made?

Another long day on the G&S starting at one end and finishing at the other. Three boat safety examinations starting in Gloucester, then down to Frampton area ending up at Sharpness. I was forewarned by the owner of one boat that their old oven had a faulty hob burner which would have been a fail. Luckily because I've been corgi/gas safe on boats for thirty years I've got quite a good stock of parts for all sorts of ovens, boilers and water heaters etc. I had several burners in stock for her old Vanessa so fitted one as a separate job before starting the boat safety. A fortnight ago I saved an old Paloma at Saul with a new diaphragm. Both owners happy that I saved them money. Feel free to give me a shout if you ever have issues with ageing gas appliances, always happy to try and help out.
